I don’t think so. Mahesh Bhatt’s mother was Muslim. His father Hindu. Soni’s parents are Hindu and Christian. In no way was Alia raised as a Muslim. I don’t think she was raised as any particular religion really. Her marriage ceremony was in full Hindu traditions probably by the Kapoors’ request. Ranbir was raised in a much more religious household than Alia.
