Wish him luck! Read a lot of terrible stories in media (people having to leave their pets was just 💔) about Britain's economy. Hope he can engineer a turnaround.

An Indian origin , former Britain colony origin, Hindu on Diwali becoming PM of Britain - who would have believed it even 10 years back? Celebrations! 🥳

Now, even Sundar Pichai's Mom can tell him that he should have tried for a government job 😆

I appreciate the British for accepting him as PM who is an offspring of immigrants who are from a community not only a religious minority but an ethnic minority too.

Will we ever see a situation like this coming up in our own country?

India has had Minority Prime Minister. Former PM Manmohan Singh.

Sikhs are 1.8%. They are one of smaller number of Minorities along with Jains, Buddhists and Parsis.

3 Former Indian Presidents have been Muslims.

So what are we actually talking about 🤷‍♀️

President is largely a decorative post.

In India it is the PM who is more important.

Sikhism has it's origins in India.

Jainism and Buddhism have their origins in India

Christianity Islam and Parsi religions are the ones who are not of Indian origin.

How many Muslim PMs did we have since independence? Forget about Indian Christians

PM is a leadership role and has to go through the due election process, and not something that one can be handed to. President of India is still not a small role btw as you are trying to make it out to be. Lal Bahadur Sastri , one of the most revered PMs of India, was a Dalit. Basically if there was no suitable candidate, what can you do about it?The khans ruled over the entertainment scene for 3 decades and are still enjoying the superstardom like no other.Indians by and large support quality over anything else.

People comparing Sunak to Sonia Gandhi situation is so dumb.

Sunak is born in Britain. He is British.

Sonia is born in Italy. Not in India.

And we have had minority PM, presidents, CJI etc.

Something happens in anywhere in the world, apple to oranges shuru ho jata hai. Typical behind mein fire problem. 😆

India celebrates all festivals of all minorities and have national/public holidays since it’s independence. In Gujarat, we have Parsi new year holiday. Parsis are the smallest number of minorities.

Whereas else does that happen?

India’s current President is Tribal woman.
Former President was Dalit.

The same people crying over tribal and Dalit representation were opposing her and him.

Everything is double dhol scenario. 😆
