Although it is only a teaser, I doubt that this movie will make money for Mr. Boney Kapoor.

But at least got I to know about the Malayalam movie Helen from 2019 which I'll watch as soon as possible...

As many here, I don't see a sense anymore in remaking movies of other languages (widely copying/pasting them) in a time when probably only very remote/rural areas have no internet and still watch "ambulant" movies...which may never be unsuccessful remakes, I guess.

Nepotism isn't really what bothers me, it's the using as "cannon"-fodder of the own kids to make bucks and/or to put the own kids into the industry without a much needed education and a good training. These young actresses only learn acting by doing it in movies being a constant subject of ridicule and (often justified) criticism.

I believe he has already made profit off the selling rights. The releasing in theatres is probably extra - similar to how Tapsee's Dobaara made profit of her OTT deal and the release in theatres made additional money for the two despite it being smaller.

His entire career has been off of re-releasing South movies, right from the beginning so.

The original has been taken down similar to all remake deals. (LSC vs Forrest Gump..etc) This movie has already been remade in Tamil and the same thing happened so that isn't new. Telugu remake is also in production.

More than a much needed education and good training, I actually do understand the reasoning behind people launching girls early (not that I agree with it). You need to debut early to have a chance at stardom. Deepika (OSO), Alia (SOTY), Shraddha reduced her age to 21 to debut (Teen Patti).

Where is the time to go to school and study? Most people will take more than 4 years to properly learn and prep for a debut post-graduation. All these examples did singing/dancing/line prep with no time to actually learn the craft.

Vidya debuted later, but she also found it very hard to get backers for her South debut simply because she was older. Aditi Rao Hydari has been floundering.

I hope with the likes of Kiara/Kriti rising in their late 20s/early 30s that girls don't feel pressured to debut super early.

I am wondering if Jahnvi is an established actress now.

I've just watched Helen (thanks for giving the title, bakhtaavar and Swetha-Sai)...a captivating movie with impressive performances.

Really, why not a united Indian Cinema platform where titles (+ short summary) of lauded movies from all regions are collected, published, recommended and information about watching possibilities is given. That indeed would make remakes/copies redundant and Hindi Cinema could concentrate on original stories to tell.

No.

It's a remake of a Malayalam thriller called Helen.

Recommend you watch the OG. Jhanvi can't come close to 10% of Anna Ben.
