Hello dear readers,
This is my first post on this forum. Off late the GiTya scenes have been setting the screen on fire. (I might be guilty of only watching GiTya scenes since the show started)
Couldn't help but write a short fanfiction shot on them. Would love to have your thoughts on this piece.
OS : Confession
Aditya glanced at Ginni. She was looking everywhere but at him. Off late she had been doing that a lot.
One incident had literally turned around their lives. That one incident. That one moment where Ginni cared more for him than herself. That one moment, where Ginni was ready to save his life by risking her own.
But that was nothing new, Ginni had always been selfless.
However, Aditya was surprised she cared for him to that extent. He knew she cared for him as a fellow human being. But that day, when she stepped in between him and what could be almost approaching death, Aditya realized that Ginni had accepted him as a part of her life, as his family... as her husband wholeheartedly.
"Aditya Ji, you said you wanted to talk..." Ginni finally spoke up when she realized that the man was lost in his thoughts. His mind must be a very chaotic place with all the thoughts, bottled up feelings and what not.
"Yes," Aditya replied, blinking out of his thoughts, looking around then back at her. They both sat on a bench in a park.
Aditya had taken up the role of her physiotherapist to help her with arm exercises. It had been more than a month to the incident, over two months to their wedding. Ginni preferred the open air to the gym room. So they spent evenings in the park.
And it wasn't just the evenings that were spent together. They were together for almost the entire day, when he was at home.
Aditya had come to realize that he liked Ginni. And if he was honest to himself, he more than liked her.
After his mother passed away, Aditya knew that no one would care for him like his mother used to. He had really no one he could actually wholeheartedly call his own. But Ginni... she had changed that.
Aditya turned towards her, preparing himself mentally to talk it out. Past one month had changed a lot between them. They were no longer two individuals forced into each other's lives.
They acted like a newlywed couple. They had moments of closeness. They shared moments of weakness. They showed each other their vulnerabilities. She spoke about her father once in a while. He shared memories of his mother with her.
And then there was attraction, that left them hanging in awkward moments. Ginni had always been a young woman who faired well in looks and physique. But now, she was the most gorgeous woman who just had to smile to melt his heart and just look him in the eye to make him want her.
Aditya couldn't even count the many cold showers he had taken in the past few weeks.
Initially, Aditya hated himself for having lost control. But as days passed, he realized it wasn't just him. Ginni's behavior around him had changed too.
For starters, she blushed so damn much. He would hold her hand, and her cheeks would start turning pink. He would step closer and she'd start breathing heavily. If he smiled at her, she'd stare at him wide-eyes, gulp visibly and look away.
Then there four almost kiss moments.
Aditya needed to address this. He needed clarity. He would die of all these overwhelming moments. And more than that he was sure Ginni would be perplexed about their moments too.
Ginni was a simple woman. Off late, she had begun to avoid standing close to him or touching him. Her wound was healing, she didn't really need his help for little things. And he was happy, but annoyed at the same time. He had grown used to being close close her, breathing her mild scent, touching her soft skin.
"Aditya Singh Ji?" Ginni spoke leaing towards him with questioning eyes.
"Yes, we should talk."
"About?" Ginni asked, looking at him curiously.
"Us..."
Ginni visibly froze for a few moments before slowly straightening up. She looked hither thither.
Aditya watched the sudden nervousness that took over Ginni. Drawing out a deep breath through his parted lips, he outstretched his hand and held her hand. She stiffened and finally looked back at him.
She subtly bit her lower lip and then looked away again. Aditya scooted forward, diminishing the distance between them.
"Aditya..." she whispered and paused abruptly when he tugged at her hand, making her lean towards him.
Ginni gulped nervously, trying to fake her hand out of his hold.
"Stop trying," he suggested loostraight into her eyes.
She parted her lips and then gave in, her movements seizing.
"So what's the plan Ginni? Dadji came back from his teeth two weeks back. You haven't brought it up.... our decision to dissolve this marriage."
"You didn't bring it up either." She said softly.
Aditya's lips slowly curled up. Funny how this habit of hers which he hated once upon a time, had now become something he couldn't imagine to live without.
"Yes, I had my reasons. What was yours?"
"Uh, I... wait. What reasons?"
Aditya pressed his lips together to keep himself from smiling. "We are a family now aren't we? I mean... for me you are."
Ginni blinked.
"Don't look so confused. Wasn't it evident in my behavior the past few days?" He looked at her arching an eyebrow.
She kept mum and lowered her gaze to their hands.
"Ginni..." he looked at their hands and paused, then he looked up up her again. "She was still looking down. "Look at me."
She slowly raised her gaze to meet his.
"I want to stay married to you."
Her lips parted slightly, her eyes searching his as though analyzing if he was saying the truth.
"All that you have done for me, no one would have... and ... you sort of have figured out how to be with me... I mean... it's easy to be myself with you. I might have started to like you too." He looked away realizing how stupid his confession sounded. She'd laugh at him for a lifetime.
"Might have?" Ginni questioned, unable to resist the temptation.
"Yeah," he mumbled looking away.
"Look at me..." she said.
Surprised at her demand and more at her confident voice Aditya looked at her.
"I might have started to like you too, Chichad Singh Ji."
"Don't ruin it for me, please."
Ginni let put a sna laugh at his irritated face.
"So, what does this mean for us?"
"I don't know..." she said softky looking at him.
"Fine Ginni." He sighed. "Will you stay married to me?"
"If you promise to smile more often and not act like the old hot-head Aditya angry Singh."
Aditya stared at her.
"And don't look at me like this..."
Aditya's gaze slowly softened. He leaned forward, his eyes leveling with hers. A small smile playing around his lips. "Is this okay Mrs. Aditya Raj Singh?"
Ginni blushed lowering her gaze and then turned away unable to take his gaze.
Aditya bit his lower lip contemplating for a few seconds and then pressed a kiss on her cheek. "Is it final then? You and me... a normal couple?" He whispered in her ear.
Ginni blushed turning back to look at him. Almost immediately he pulled a little away to look at her. "Is there something you want to say?"
She shook her head, her eyelashes fluttering as she she tried to keep looking at him. "Say something, please." He whispered. "Anything."
Ginni took a deep breath and kissed his cheek instead of saying anything. An almost instantly a bright smile lit up Aditya's face and his eyes searched for hers.
"No words?" He asked. "Don't tell me later, that I didn't hear you out."
"Yes," she said almost breathlessly.
"Sweet." He mumbled. His hand raising her hand to his lips. He kissed the back of her palm and his eyes looked at her as she tried hard to contain her smile and look away.
A few minutes passed as they sat there in silence. Ginni looked everywhere but at him while he looked nowhere but at her. Their hands refusing to let go the other's.
"Let's go make dinner. It should be something special, no?" He finally spoke up getting up. His hand still holding hers.
She slowly got up. She said nothing but closed the distance between them and hugged him.
Aditya smiled a little taken aback by the hug. He left her hand to wrap both his arms around her. Her tight embrace was a safe heaven. He held onto her tightly. He couldn't remember the last time he felt so safe in someone's arms.
"Madam, if you are done we can go to the kitchen, if not then we can head to our bedroom."
Ginni made a face and pulled away. "Chee!" Saying that's he turned around making her way in.
"Hey, what's chee?"
"Remember the other day, you were literally sleeping on me!" He said following her. "And then, you can't deny all that has been happening between us Mrs. Aditya Raj Singh."
"I am making what I like for dinner!" She said and then added, "I don't need your help." Just to annoy him.
"Cool, but dessert should be my choice and dressed as I find pleasing!"
Her jaw fell and she stopped realizing how inappropriate that sounded. She then turned around, just in time to catch his wink. He walked up to her with a smirk on his face. Then leaning close to her ear whispered, "I can't wait, Ginni!" Then like the naughty boy he was he left a soft bite on her crimson cheek, before walking past her.
