One reason - nepotism. Since 2012-present with wide influx of star kids has damaged the industry. And because of them talented people dont get work anymore.

If you're comparing KGF 2 collections with Bollywood films' then yes, only Hindi version should be taken into consideration.

But even if you take all India figures, KGF 2 came close to Bahubali 2 collections in India. But Bahubali 2 footfalls were 10 Crores in all languages, while KGF 2 footfalls were only 5 Crores in India. More people would've watched the film if there wasn't any pandemic.

But some of the bigger grossers involve these people

I understand some of the bigger flops do also. But I don’t think a star kid is the problem if they are the stars of one top grossing films

5/6/7 years ago I really cared if Salman made a film that was the all time grosser or did 5 days of 30 crore. Now it’s just a film lol

I used to be an avid movie goer…it’s now become a chore as I’ve been used to watch stuff on my laptop at home. Will go to the cinema for the cinematic experience (a marvel type of movie) or a movie I really want to watch asap. BW male actors need to review their fees too…some of them charge way too much considering the volatility of the market.

When one can wait for 2-3 weeks n watch them for relatively cheaper price why would anyone hurry n spend 1500-2000 for mediocre content?
