There may be another possibility that the baby reacts in the presence of Anupama only as in 3 idiots, baby used to react on hearing the sentence All is Well.

Imagine on delivery time, if kinju baby insists Anupama to be present in the labor room and Anu Di starts her lecture there, Dr will come out of the room saying that tumhi kar lo, jab delivery ho jaaye toh bata dena. mai tab tak coffee, samosa kha kar aati hoon.
