Rani recalls working with Aamir Khan

Rani Mukerji fondly recalled her time working with Aamir Khan on the film 'Ghulam' (1998). In an interview with Galatta Plus, she expressed her admiration for Aamir's work ethic, saying, "When I met Aamir and saw him work in 'Ghulam', it was incredible."

As a young girl, she had a huge crush on him after watching him in 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak'. She confessed, "He was so cute in the movie. I think I had a crush on Juhi equally." When Rani signed up for 'Ghulam', she was overwhelmed to be working alongside Aamir, who had already become a big star. However, what struck her most was Aamir's dedication to every shot. She recalled, "But what struck me most was the dedication he brought to every shot-the sensitivity, the seriousness, and how much of himself he gave to the performance." As a newcomer to the industry, Rani was deeply impressed by Aamir's work ethic and absorbed every bit of it. She added, "The actress stated that she had just started in the industry, and she imbibed all of that."

Rani's experience working with Aamir Khan had a lasting impact on her. She admired how he poured his heart and soul into every performance. His dedication was inspiring, and she learned a great deal from him during their time together on set.

Rani Mukerji, who has starred with Shah Rukh Khan in films such as 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' and 'Chalte Chalte,' discussed her experiences. She mentioned seeing Shah Rukh Khan in 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' as a "young girl." The actress noted that the film's release coincided with the filming of her debut movie, 'Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat.' She described working with these two megastars as "surreal."

Praising SRK, the actress said, "Shah Rukh comes with this gentle, sensitive energy. He treated me like a baby— was barely 18 when I worked with him—and he still calls me 'baby' to this day."

Rani Mukerji shares experience of working with Salman Khan

In the same conversation, Rani Mukerji discussed her experiences with Salman Khan, stating that meeting him was like a "360-degree turn." She noted his unique dedication to his craft, observing that "He walks in with this swag and a bindaas attitude. You might feel like he's not really 'there,' but he is present."

Mukerji further added that Khan maintains a light-hearted approach to his work, saying, "He's very casual about his work, but he works incredibly hard. People don't recognize it because he doesn't let them into that zone."

On the work front, Mukerji's recent release, 'Mardaani 3,' premiered on January 30, 2026. The film has already achieved a global box office collection exceeding Rs 52 crore.
