For the life of me, I don't get how people don't find this offensive.

Worse part is he's not Neetu whose interaction with media was mainly in the 70s and 80s. He's also been in the industry for more than a decade. Ranbir will know by now the implications of what he says in the current social media milieu. He knows the hot water he'll get into for calling women sherbet and daal chawaal BECAUSE HE'S DONE IT BEFORE.

He seems to be doing this because he doesn't give a ****. Either Alia doesn't care that he's using WTF proclamations like this to get talk going for his films. Or he really thinks of her as staple home food with the occasional exotic dish on the side.

I don't think it is offensive. I think he probably meant to say in the context, that people say ghar ki murgi dal barabaar, so he made it like Alia is a tadka wala daal and not pheeka. Meaning his marriage life isn't pheka or bland.

And for why people in the forum not finding it offensive, well it is just situation, change the name from Ranbir to Ranveer, and then there would different tones from different members, you will see 360 turns from offended and not offended sides 😆
