I’m aware of that

I included him in the capacity of a colleague / someone who was doing well at the time of his debut

I’ve never seen him go above and beyond (except maybe guru where he gained weight)…it almost looks like he puts in bare minimum effort with acting, dancing , looks, physique , fitness , stunts …all aspects really

His competitors and ppl who came afterwards like hrithik , ranveer, shahid , ranbir, srk, farhan, worked themselves to the bone and literally killed themselves to achieve a certain physique, perfect a dance number, perfect some bits of action choreography etc

Him and sonam lack that fire imo…they love being admired and praised but I don’t think they have it in them to do all the “not so comfortable” bits of their job

This I completely agree with. Abhishek might be a decent actor but he has hardly broadened his horizons and seems like a lazy guy when it comes to being physically fit or working more on his craft, and he doesn't look that appealing onscreen TBH, I mean for being successful you gotta excel in atleast one thing, he does choose some good scripts every once in a while but I am on board with you on this one that he lacks passion. And the less said about Sonam the better, that chick never gets out of her fake accent and "I am better than you peasants" mode. Although she has done some good movies and was even somewhat decent in 1-2 of them but is very limited otherwise in absolutely everything.

Below is a video that highlights all the moments where Abhishek can't even be bothered to pretend to smile or stand next to her to make public and red carpet appearances. I found that quite disconcerting cuz I can deal with everything but an insecure man who throws public tantrums just because she commands more attention! 😵 Kudos to her for smiling through it all to save the situation though.

I am no fan of Aish but I have sometimes wondered what made her choose him out of all people. I mean she is beautiful and he is umm, pretty average in everything. Honestly I have never found them "genuinely in love" like other BW couples, don't know why but they always seem quite distant with each other, I mean keeping appearances just for the sake of family's image and all. And not to forget I wonder how she puts up with a crackhead like Jaya 😆

A basic example …manmarziyan

Abs character was an nri who (seemingly) grew up in Punjab…his dialogue delivery has no traces of the work being put in for that

He plays a Bengali in yuva, and gujju in guru, a tribal in raavan…listen to the dialogue delivery in each and it a pretty much the same …

Compare that to a Vicky …he played a punjabi in manmarziya, gujju in sanju, up based guy in masaan…nailed all 3 of them and specifically worked on his dialogue delivery for each

Worked on his physique for uri, sardar uddham Singh

Again the difference in accent between manmarziya (present day Punjab) to sardaar udham Singh (period drama)

Ab just does not put in the same kinda work

How are we defining success? Aishwarya is definitely more famous than her husband. But is she really more successful than him? She has Cannes and her endorsements. He has his sports teams and I believe some real estate investments. But when was the last time she had a financial or a critically successful movie?

Amitabh Bachchan is Amitabh Bachchan. Yes he is definitely the most successful actor in his family. He is exponentially more famous and more loved than any other member of his family, specially his own son. I just don’t believe that he’s the breadwinner of the family. I don’t think the whole family lives together anyway but that’s besides the point. I think financially Abhishek does well enough on his own to support his and his own family’s lifestyles. Him and Aishwarya are a unit anyway. Shweta is probably still being supported by her husband. I basically think this narrative or perception that AB Sr is working in all these movies to support his family is false. I’m sure when the time comes and he goes he’ll leave his family a healthy chunk of wealth. But I do not think his children’s survival or even lifestyle right now is in anyway dependent on him.

He was a promising young actor when they met. It's another thing that it didn't go as expected but he was cracked up to be the next big thing for the longest time from what I know. In interviews, he came across as a nice guy who treated her like a real gentleman, I was also sold by his personality in multiple interviews.

And there's no accounting for taste, so she must have found him handsome too with the Bachchan surname to boot. 😆

My guess is that he swooped in on her cuz she's THE Aishwarya Rai and one hell of a catch for any man at the time. and she probably went along with it cuz he was a welcome change after the Salman and Vivek fiasco, losing lucrative deals/movies, etc.

I think ab snr still works in movies coz he genuinely enjoys it and also because he’s had an experience in the past In The 90s where he wanted to retire but went into a financial crisis …and literally has no option but to resume work to pay off that debt

I think he’s scarred from that experience and believes if he takes a break, someone will replace him (like in the 90s, most ppl were after srk, sallu, govinda and didn’t care much for ab snr)

He’s mentioned this in a few interviews aswell

He’s always been known to be a gentleman and just an all around nice guy. I think he also treated her like a real person. Not something to control like her ex and also not like some porcelain doll like her other ex. Abhishek was also known for his happy go lucky demeanor and great sense of humor. Is he still the same happy go lucky person with a great sense of humor? I don’t know. For a while there he just seemed down and frankly uninterested. But like I said in one of my earlier posts, he does seem happy and in a better place again.

As for the video of the five times Abhishek was rude to her, only two of those are solid critiques. One at Sonam’s wedding and the other at the premier of her movie. The other times it was clearly making an issue out of nothing and looking for drama where there are none.
