I agree with every word above. She has miles to go before she takes that esteemed place on the jury. I take two issues to her response; first she made light of the situation and second, she belittled all the jury members.

That was pretty basic question and she should have done her homework so that she doesn't sound undeserving of that responsibility.

She probably didn't even know what the hell she said as long as she said something -- anything, and didn't just freeze on the spot. So I find it pointless even holding her accountable for whatever incoherent nonsense she managed to conjure up. 😆 It's hard to take someone seriously when they're pi$$ing themselves just to answer a question that is a basic part of being a public figure.

I definitely don't think she has anything going for her at all except the height/body and good looks -- and even that is a hit or miss these days. She's a big name in B'wood and that probably got her the ticket to the jury panel. Beyond that, I find everything else about her completely vapid and unimpressive.

@bold - yeah, she is a big name and has connections. Her acting career (if there was one) is now on a decline.Imo, her personality was never awe inspiring and she never appeared ambitious. Always seemed to be more of a follower rather than a leader.

When one is representing their country and professional community at an international stage, they're expected to be articulate and well-prepared. It was day one so she can't be excused for being exhausted. I was reminded of how US VP sounds sometimes at the podium.

I agree ... Deepika is not a leader at all, she simply lacks those qualities a true leader personifies.

I absolutely cannot stand the US VP either, for all the barriers she broke and whatnot, I just can't bring myself to like her. Can't tell if it's the nasal voice or those cackles at all the inappropriate times. Just had to get that off my chest since you brought her up.😆

Veep is not even an average orator. Sushma Swaraj was a better orator than her. I'd have overlooked her nasal voice and cackles if she had any substance in her speech. She is all fluff.
