This has been on my mind for a while.
We always said Sairat had chemistry and the actors had a certain synchronicity in their scenes together. Timing something very crucial. These two have that. Being able to understand the co actor and responding accordingly gives that extra edge..what we call chemistry.
But what we have seen lately is a lot of BD. And that obviously effects the overall product. It may not seem like a big deal, but the way one performs with one actor may not be the same with another. Esp just any random person. There is bound to be a difference. Because what we are comparing is a combined effort, even if one is missing the end product will lack a certain element.
Also, entirely my perspective, I may be wrong here. I feel is we see a lot of close ups these days. So the scenes with them in same frame are lesser. And this is where they are shooting together. With more part of the scenes being covered in closeups and single focus, we have more proportion of the scenes where either one is missing. I can't recall scenes, but there are times when it is so evident that other one missing. And then there are so many cuts and patch work.
Editing just adds to the whole mess. And together the whole substandard product lacks continuity.
Like the dupatta scene, it was so weird to see V panting after Sai ran out of the room. It was in the BTS we knew that there was a chasing that was cut off. In the same scene, you can also feel some of the solo shots I was referring earlier, during the dupatta pulling part. Blotched completely. They are spoiling the whole viewing experience.
You better sleep at right time. No need to put review at late night. Noone will be reading. Learn something from msin. You better watch it in morning and then post it and this piece of advice is for others too. Exactly my point... I watched the episode again...
There are very few shots where all of them are present and they are far shots...
Most of the shots are framed such that only hands/shoulders of Sai and V are visible... Even when Sam is standing, we can see only a hint of Sai's saree...
This totally looks like they shot individually... and ofcourse when there is no one to respond to your actions... the reactions look bland.
Isiliye the only scene where NB Ayesha were better where she actually holds Jagtaps collar and pushes him... Also for NB when he pushes Jagtap and shouts at him. Thats the complete frame where all three can be seen.
And the other shot where V consoles Sai is when both of them are in frame... rest all is patchup with BD I felt.
And probably because they are shooting so much on the wire... they are not doing retakes... jo mila vo le liya types... 👎🏼
I seriously wish they stop doing this advance thing... it is legit ruining the experience. I had high hopes from Jagtap track... while he didnt disappoint... the rest of the episode was boring.
