I don't see anything wrong with what she said. If you're unhappy move on. Just because you were happy with a person at one point in life doesnt mean you are always gunna be happy.

And the generational thing is absolutely right, there are way too many older generation couple that don't even like each other but stay because divorce is taboo, or kids or because the wife is dependent. too many women out there are depended financially on the man and without him she would be nothing/nobody. It's sad to see.

There's only so much adjusting, compromising a person can do. We grow and change everyday. And if you fall out of love then that's totally fine. Just move on. Life is too short to cry over a relationship.
