I need another round of Deepika's psychobabble on relationships like I need a hole in the head.
Deepika is actually right, aur bolo love yourself, for the marriage to work you cant be selfish
I like to read her 'insights'..transcript pls
I dont know why "loving yourself" is equated with "i dont want to adjust for the other person" these days
Making that adjustment to make someone else happy, which in turn gives you happiness, is a huge part of loving yourself in my opinion. Self love without factoring in your partner and relatives and friends seems so shallow and boring
Its more to do with being lazy in a relationship, more than anything else
Agreed.
And however we may want to cut it, being in a relationship does mean a lot of sacrifices, patience, and accommodating the other person. It's a constant balance of the other person's needs with your own. I dont even think it's a generational thing, like DP is saying. This art of balancing- you vs the other person- always was and always will be the key to making a relationship work in every generation.
So yeah, self love does not mean we give up on compromise and adjustments.

Don't know how was her married life or what she faced..so won't judge her.
But major reasons these celebs give nowadays for breakups and divorce r same..self love, outgrew eachother, we have mutual respect but can't stay together..will always love eachother.
Thats all nonsense..if there really is so much love and respect for the person why couldn't u respect the relationship?
Fallen out of love is a much more digestible reason..or calling spade a spade. Even silence is better than sugar-coated statements
The last think us peasants need is relationship advice/insights from celebrities. HW and BW are the most toxic and weird industries. Hard pass 😆

All the points should come from the heart and then you make it in a relationship otherwise even minor adjustment feels like a point to separate
