In KKHH tina wanted her 8 year old daughter to play a matchmaker how is that not problematic? She was just a child . How did tina expected her to understand all the complex human emotions and then also help her 35+ father to understand it . And how was she so sure that neither anjali would not find love somehwere else up until that point? That reeks of entitlement .

Not entitlement. Logic.

Even I as a 6-7 year old at the time of the movie’s release had the same conception of love as little Anjali. It lacks logic and is silly but it’s not harmful or problematic.

Kids around my age were equally obsessed with the movie at the time. And all of us grew up fine and cherish the movie.

logic what is so logical about a mother urging her 8 year old daughter to play a matchmaker?

Tina expected anjali to remain single and fall in rahul s arms the moment he comes for her so that she can play mother to Tina s child and rahul does not feels lonely .That s selfish entitled behavior

And no no 8 year old can fully grasp all the comlex human emotions . They deserve a secure life and not to9 go around playing matchmaker . That s problematic

KKHH is far older than movies like Garam Masala but has aged far more better anyday.

😆

Things that make me 🤮 still at this day and age -

Akshay looking creepily at Kat in tip tip barsa pani. (Credit goes to him to stand out and ruin an entire song)

Then so are the movies like the parent trap.

Is it not true that many times children urge their parents to start their life over / find a partner?

What is so complex in understanding love and seeing that her father is lonely?

If you have seen the movie she wasn’t doing it alone. She had her daadi and naana.

I have seen 8-10 year olds looking after younger siblings and taking responsibility as a second parent when for some reasons parents are not able to take care or aren’t there. Compared to this Anjali really didn’t do anything other than just bring them face to face.

It was selfish of tina to expect anajli to remaine single for so many years . And no 8 year old do not deserve such big responsibilities . Rahul was grown ass man should have sorted out his shit on his own .

Anjali went on a summer camp without informing her father with her old grandmother . That s dangerous and risky .

Taking care of your younger sibling and playing matchmaker for your father is not the same .

getting together just because an 8 year old child told you so is not healthy .

Ankit reviews movies for fun. Why are you taking it SO seriously?

And who are you to decide which movie was amazing and which one was bad? Many so-called 'great' movies are garbage. 3 Idiots was dumb AF and had a very problematic rape joke. Also, many older movies had regressive themes.

What's the problem in calling them out?????
