I thought the same too. Aryan asking Imlie if she thought he was this bad is clear indication that he is not behind this specific incident she is accusing him off, and is actually trying to help Adi with his connections.
I really hope they don't show Imlie openly showing love for her sister's husband...it will be too gross.

You are right. The symbolisms combinedwith gms exit have more or less nailed the adilie coffin. Still a caveat depending on the trp gods smiling or not smiling any and every character is game to be butchered going forward.
