Madhubala is still better than Katrina in terms of acting. Katrina is far worse than just "average" yet people excuse it while they bash many other actresses like Kajol, Aish, Deepika, Alia etc. Always seemed to me like she got a pass because she is white.

I mean Katrina can't even speak Hindu properly despite being in the industry for so long..if you want to fake being an indian at least do it right

Kaun se duniya mein ho..she speaks better Hindi than the new crop of Hindi speaking actors..in TOH...she recited Urdu shayari...do u think Aamir the perfectionist would have let her??...aur jahan tak acting ki baat hai...why don't you ask the Indian audience why they made Salman Khan a superstar and not Irfan Khan or Nawaz Siddique??

And while you are at it...also ask your Indian audience ...ki why INDIAN and amazing actress like Konkona is not a superstar but Katrina is....I will wait for your answer.

Disagree, her Hindi is still not fluent and she can't even tone down her accent when she is playing Indian characters.

No one is saying Katrina has to deliver like Konkona or Tabu (that would be a ridiculous expectation) who are not really mainstream actresses (because yeah to be a superstar you need more than great acting) but she can at least deliver on the level of Deepika, Alia, Aishwarya etc. but she can't manage that at all

Even Salman has had some solid performances over the years.

Anyway lots of people in Bollywood have their dark secrets but I don't think anyone has anything as big as Katrina lying about her past. She took advantage of India and is also a bad actress so its not like Bollywood benefitted here. The Kapoors have at least produced some great actors

Both, people prefer white actresses (that's why even the likes of Kajol try to be more white these days) but they still want their actresses to be Indian. Never heard of any actor/actress who was a complete foreigner becoming a superstar.
