The first thing abhimanyu asks her how she is feeling and why she ran away. Instead of telling him the truth that it reminded her of her childhood, the death of her step mother and the trauma of losing her sister, she lied. The crux of the story this girl will never open up.
She gives him the explanation that Ak keeps on repeat … yeh mere liye naya tha… This was a new experience and I could not control my emotions. The visit to the NGO would though of as a good distraction.
He asks her again is this the only reason? Because now she works at the hospital where there will be patients coming in at all times. Abhimanyu knows she is a sensitive girl but to this level that she could disappear without informing was new for him too. He came to know bit more how sensitive she can be.
Banter 1-
He was ready to give her a good dressing down at leaving without informing anyone about her whereabouts but our lovely Akshara as usual good at diverting topics away from herself immediately pulled the trick on him. And as they say in Hindi “ulta chor kotwaal to daate” she gave complete wifey vibes.
She retorts back at him that I was hoping someone would help but I did not know that the person who comes will also scold me. Awww… cutie Ab itna Haq to hota hai Jija ji ka r isn’t it Aadhigharwaali? Poor joke but I am not on Ak side.
Abhi comes to help her, then she makes him say sorry to her… I mean this girl can do impossible things- true she made this noncommittal man fall in love with her, rejected him yet he worships her, and made him so mad that he is ready to marry her sister in a bout of anger.
Well, can you understand how shallow are the Goenka men?
Manish and Ag did not move to find Ak.
Vansh and Kv went together in a car to find her. They returned because Kv was feeling sick. I have no words to express what I feel about them. And Kairav has the audacity to frown and asks how did Abhimanyu reach there? You idiot it was your job and he sincerely cares for this lovely girl so much that he bend all his rule let the hospital and went on the road in his bike. Your job is to thank him for now just inform his parents.
Luck is with the lovers and the Abhira fans coz AG get the alert, the bridge that connects this small village to the city gets damaged and repairing work is on its way.
So they have to spend the night alone on the roads.
Banter take 2 starts-
Akshara was genuinely worried about spending the night in the dark middle of nowhere but Abhimanyu’s sarcastic reply sound like predictions to me- am I am magician and should I make a castle for you? It especially hit me cause I have been discussing how she is treated like a Cinderella who has to sacrifice for the sake of her step sister. But the prince will not rest till he find her and he constantly feels her presence and closeness.
Banter take 3-
Akshara conveniently left the keys inside the car and the car got locked. Abhi is mad as says fine today your were scared but what happened the last time when you left the keys inside. Without thinking much the girl blurts that day I was scared because I knew you were coming. The last time she left the keys and her pally got struck in the door when Abhimanyu comes and rescues her like the prince he really is. That moment is etched in my memories and I often relive it with my eyes closed.
Kyun tham gaya hai yeh lama darmayaan,
is lame in ko khul ke jee le zaraa.
These line stand so true for Abhimanyu- since he has seen Akshara all he has wanted was to include her in his life. His life no more feels complete without her and he stands staring at her not knowing what to do with the information that he just got from her. She has refused him so many times he has no idea how to react to anything anymore.
Again she is the one to bring them back to normal mode. She remembers how he opened the car door but she does not have a hair pin but will she back down nah Nah!!
She knows he will not say anything to her… so she almost calls him a thief who has expertise in opening cars.
Abhi is always in protective mode when it comes to Akshara takes that call that they need to find a safe place for the night. Their steps in sync they walk to the bike which reminds both of them of their last encounter when Ak rode the bike and however much they want to stay away from each other or move on destiny keeps pushing them into each others path.
Once Ak sits on the bike and not facing Abhimanyu’s she thanks him for coming to her rescue.
Main to Hamesha tumhaare saath rehna chahata hun,
Chahe kinta bahi gussa karun,
khud ko tumhaare paas aan se rok hi nahi paunga.
The above words are the truth of Abhimanyu. He already knows what mistake he has made in his anger. And now he has no idea how to get out of the web of anger and lies. He keeps telling himself that he is doing it for his mother and yet he knows he will break every barrier if he get one sign of acknowledgment from Akshara. And till he does not he can do only this much.
So they find a generous small town fellow who lets them into his house and even offers to leave his house open for them and goes next doors.
Thus starts Banter 4-
Akshara asks bhaiya jee what do you have to to help us beat the cold in the night? And Abhi’s reactions are like a typical MCP if I can say.
She goes on to say you don’t have to go any place else, we have come to your house, you don’t have to leave.
And finally gets a slow clap from Abhimanyu when she say I think he is a nice man. I could smell some amount of jealousy but he couldn’t be bothered since the man leaves and he is alone with his lady love.
Banter 5-
Immediately she finds a bottle of drink which she thinks is cold drink. And both of them drink this spiked water and thus we get some of our favorite sequences after this.
Abhimanyu as he stares into the fire reminisce about Akshara in his arms. And Akshara gets visions of Abhimanyu. But their visions are floating in air.
Akshara refers to Abhimanyu as Dr. Saab for help in return Abhimanyu asks for methidana mixture to help him with his head spinning. Even in intoxicated sense Ak does not forget who Abhimanyu is and Abhimanyu refers to her as his doctor by asking for methidana mixture.
Its small yet significant scene which gives us an insight how how they see each other even in their private moments. Ak does think of him as someone superior to her.
Akshara like always laughs at her situation- she is intoxicated, head is spinning and so she laughs while Abhimanyu watches her.
He sees her as his savior. The happy girl who can fill his life with happiness. And so he shares his inner most feelings and his loneliness. He shares how he has no-one with whom he can share is thoughts, his dreams, his aspirations. He has a mother who is just as alone as him and so they give each other support. But in essence he is begging her to make his life meaningful with her presence. And just like that Akshara comes to console him.
And with that Akshara opens up her heart and the sorrows that she has buried deep inside of her. Her own people have never understood her. Everyone around her are wonderful people but still she feels no one understands her and so she is alone.
The intoxicated state of both of them helps them to open up and more and Abhimanyu again tells her that she is the only one in his heart. And he is mesmerized by her voice and thus starts their fun singing session where Abhimanyu performs for Akshara.
But in all of the banter, fun and laughter lies broken hearts, shattered dreams and unspoken pain.
If akshara hurt Abhimanyu by refusing his love and adoration, he sliced her heart when he brought marriage proposal for her younger sister. It brought more pain for Akshara because she is already living with the guilt of making Abhimanyu unhappy and wants to forget whatever happened between them but if he marries her sister that wound will remain forever raw.
Even in this intoxicated state those thoughts infiltrate the mind and renews the pain. But with it also come the weakening of the inhibitions. The barriers that are created by the sane mind, the hesitations created by the harsh reality vanish in the darkness night and being in close proximity go the lover further loosens up the self imposed strings of restrictions. One look into his pleading loving eyes is all it took for Akshara to run into his open arms.
The hug that soothes her pain, that caresses her heart, that worships her whole being. The arms that protect her from every peril that comes her way, the comforting arms that cocoon her from every kind of affliction. The enwrapping of those arms around her appeases every sorrow she suffered till now.
