Because I love reading them and it's immensely fun how evil you feel when you write them...😈

You shouldn't have ended it there, that's made me more greedy and I want to read the next nowww!
Let's say my plan worked!😉 I'll most probably update around the weekend, I've been writing the chapter in parts all week! I had really less time to log on here.
Originally posted by: Wandering_mind Loved how the whole conversation came through in this part! I didn't expect Asad to tell her about his birthday or his mom's death so directly though, but seems like it was high time he found someone to let out what's within!
Well I'm glad you loved it! Asad himself didn't expect the past to come tumbling out of his mouth. But then again, he's talking to Zoe, the woman who he's completely smitten by!

Zoya's hatred (fake hatred I mean:P) towards Asad is going to take a backseat very soon ! I am liking how Asad has really changed and accepted that the change is because of Zoya. I hope they both give themselves a chance to feel free of their bottled up emotions as they begin to find solace in each other's presence.
Yes Asad really has changed. But he's still confused about his feelings. He doesn't know what is happening to himself. They will open up, all in good time!
Originally posted by: Wandering_mind Please give the next one soon. I'm really looking forward to reading the rest of the conversation! As always you are amazing! I will, probably this weekend. Love you!!💖
Aaaa gayi weeekend
Yipppppeeyyyy
Yipee indeed! Shaam tak aa jayegi update😉
Heylo guys! Here's the next chapter!
Lost Without You
Chapter 10B: I'd Hate To Look Into Those Eyes And See An Ounce Of Pain
"My mother passed away when I was fourteen."
Zoya gasped softly. "I-I'm sorry. I didn't..."
"It's fine. Not many people know that." Asad said, defeated, and found himself looking at the gate of Central Park. "C'mon, let's sit for a while," Asad said and led Zoya towards a bench under a tree. Zoya smiled genuinely at his gesture.
Maybe Mr. Asshole isn't that much of an asshole after all?
They both sat on the bench, awkwardly shifting next to each other.
"I'm not much of a partier on my birthdays really. I end up missing her more than ever. My father and my brother, Ayaan, both miss her too."
"I can understand. I really can." Zoya said softly, not noticing the tears forming in her eyes at the thought of her Ammi and her sister. "If you don't mind me asking..."
"Not at all, shoot!" Asad said quickly wiping the saltwater trailing down his cheek.
Why does she have to be so formal?
"What was she like? Your mother?" She asked, placing a comforting hand on Asad's muscly shoulder. He felt a fuzzy warm feeling bloom within him at her touch. A touch that was so innocent, he felt like protecting it with his life. She was doing something to him. Changing him, into someone he never thought he could be. Two months of no talking to her and in one day, just one day, he had been completely and utterly smitten by the woman in front of him.
"She was amazing. Sweet, caring, graceful...everything a kid could ask for. I loved her more than anything, she was practically my life! Abbu too loved her with all his heart, he was broken, like me, when she left us. She didn't even think about us, just...poof. Gone. I..." Asad trailed off and held back a sob. "Anyways, I'm sorry for burdening you with all this, it's just... you're one of the only people I feel like talking to. I don't know why, Zoya," She smiled at the way her name sounded from his lips, "but since we kissed at that stupid party, I can't stop thinking about you." Asad said and gently held her hand which was resting on his shoulder. "I know you don't want to talk about that night, but I just had to tell you."
"I can't stop thinking about that night either," Zoya said softly, looking at her knees. "I just had to tell you too." She felt butterflies dancing in her stomach. "But, why did you kiss me?" She had to know. Did it mean something to him as much as it did to her? Did he feel the undeniable spark between them?
"Actually, I saw Tanveer lurking around at the balcony door and wanted to shoo her," Asad said shrugging comically. Zoya gasped loudly in the offense.
"YOU- what- how dare you-"
"But as soon as my lips touched yours I was enchanted." He said sincerely, looking her in the eyes with an emotion that she didn't recognize, but it was so intense that melted her into a pile of goo. "I forgot, all about Tanveer and why I brought you in that balcony. Speaking of why, what had happened to you on that day? You'd lied that you weren't shaky. Were you nervous or something?"
Zoya was too dazed to get the question quickly, "Huh? Oh, that...that was because..." She hesitated for a while, not sure if she could tell him or not. He'd just told her his problems right? It was time for her to open up. "I was shaky because my ex-fiancee was present at the party, along with some people I don't want back in my life." She let it out in one breath. Asad furrowed his brows.
She'd been engaged?
"You were engaged?" Asad asked dejectedly. An unknown feeling of loss swelling inside him. "What happened?"
"He...well, I loved him more than anything else."
Asad's stomach clenched miserably. Why did it affect him that she loved a man?
"But he turned out to be a jerk. He used me when..." She bit back a sob, "when I was vulnerable. The next day I went over to his house and found him screwing around with another bimbo who's now his wife. I guess that's life, isn't it? You can't live in the past, but sometimes, the past comes to you. That's when you have to face it." A tear rolled down her cheek. Asad's fist was clenched tightly around the edge of the bench. He wanted to beat whoever hurt her to a pulp. How could the jerk even think about hurting the angel in front of him? How could he even leave her? He looked at her face, realized how much she'd been keeping inside behind that dimpled smile.
On its own accord, his hand lifted to gently wipe the tear on her cheek. She tensed underneath his fingers. "I'm sorry." He whispered. Zoya's stomach did backflips, his touch felt like a velvet rose petal gliding across her cheek. So soft. So very gentle.
"It's fine. I'm over it. Have been for 5 years." She replied, savoring the touch of his fingers.
"Is that why you're having a bad day today?" Asad asked concerned.
"Ironically, today i-is the day I...l-lost my mother and sister. And...I just miss them so much..." Saying this she kept her forehead on Asad's shoulder and cried softly. Asad looked baffled. How much had this girl been through? He hesitantly kept his hand on her back, gently thumping and stroking it sending delicious shivers down Zoya's body.
"Shh..." He breathed softly. It was entirely too much for Asad to take in. This girl had lost so much, yet her being felt so hopeful. How had she managed to stay so bubbly and positive all the time?
"Zoya beti!" Came a voice from behind Asad. He looked at Zoya to apologize but found that her face had gone pale as if she'd seen a ghost. He furrowed his brows, who was calling her and why was she looking so scared?
"We've been looking all over for you. Come on home!" Gaffur's cold voice said in a sickeningly sweet tone. Zoya let out a shivering breath. How the hell did he find her?
"Mr...Siddique?" Asad asked, half in shock and surprised. "Aap yahan?"
"Yes! Perhaps Zoya forgot to tell you that day. She's my daughter."
"Like hell I am!" Zoya suddenly yelled. Tears threatened to spill from her eyes and rage coursed through her. He dared to call her his daughter?! Asad knitted his brows at her behavior. Why was she so angry? More importantly, how didn't he know that Gaffur was her father? "Please, leave me alone." Zoya whispered shakily, looking towards the floor. She heard heavy footsteps from behind her and realized that her father had brought help along.
"Zoya, what's going on?" Asad said in a weak voice.
"Take me home, Mr Khan."
"Huh?!" He said surprised.
"Take me home."
"Beti you have to come with us!" Gaffur interrupted again.
"I don't have to. And I'd like to leave now, would be great if you did the same." Zoya said through gritted teeth. Gaffur walked towards her like a hyena stalking it's prey. Zoya almost flinched and took a hesitant step back. He stopped right beside and bent to her ear.
"You have to pay." He whispered. Gaffur chuckled in mirth and tentatively traced a finger down Zoya's face. She winced at his touch and angled her head away from his fingers. Asad watched the scene unfold before him in revelation and gall. He didn't like the way Zoya winced by Gaffur's touch. It irked him to no end. He wanted to help her, in any way he could.
"Miss Farooqui, let's go shall we?" Asad interjected, glancing towards the men standing behind Zoya. There was no way they'd touch him, they were in a public place, with a reputed businessman everyone recognized. Zoya nodded in thanks and walked to him calmly. The pair swiftly turned around and walked away, leaving a fuming Gaffur behind. His emotionless grey eyes followed their figures until they were out the gate. His slightly wrinkled face scrunched in disgust and hatred. So close, yet so far.
You will be punished Zoya, just like your poor sister and Ammi.
* * *
"Zoya- Zoya will you slow down? What's wrong?" Asad asked frantically. almost jogging behind her. "Miss Farooqui!" He said sternly and she stopped dead in her tracks. "What's wrong? How is that man your father? And-"
"He's not my father okay?!" Zoya spat and continued walking at the speed of a sprinter.
"Then why was he saying that you're his daughter?"
"You know, for a reputed businessman you're really thick." Zoya mumbled in annoyance and crossed her arms.
Asad smirked. "Am I?" He caught up and whispered huskily in her ear from behind. Zoya gasped and an array of butterflies danced in her stomach.
"Aaaand he's back." Zoya abruptly stopped and turned towards him, rolling her eyes in the process. "You really can't go a day without making AT LEAST one sexual joke can't you?" Asad shook his head.
"It was the only way I could get you to stop walking." He said shrugging. Zoya hid a smile. "What happened back there?"
"I-I'm sorry but, I really can't tell you right now."
"Is Gaffur really your-"
"Shh!" Zoya hissed at him and kept a finger on his lips. His eyes widened at her action and the feelings that were surfacing. Her finger lingered on his lips for a while before she realized what she was doing and snatched her hand away. A slight blush crept up her cheeks as Asad looked at her with an intense gaze.
"I need you to answe-"
"Zip it! Let's go home and talk. Please." Zoya said, her voice thick with tears. Asad nodded and continued walking towards their houses. Zoya was walking at a dangerous speed. In her haste to go home she tripped over an uneven lid of a manhole. She felt her foot twist and shreiked in pain before falling into Asad's waiting arms. They were like steel bands around her waist.
"This is the second time you've fallen into my arms today." He whispered absentmindedly, staring into the brown orbs he always got lost in.
"I know." Zoya replied, smiling a little. "I kinda like it here." She said and giggled softly.
Asad knew, and he didn't hate it that he was falling in love. Is this how it felt?
So that was it! I know this one's quite short too, but I've got a LOT on my plate these days. So please don't expect regular updates? I don't want to risk disappointing you guys. Also, if I say I might update on a certain day, don't take it as a promise? I never know if I have time to write nowadays, I'm so sorry!

Sorry for the late reply, I'm really caught up with my studies, and my bestie needs a lot of emotional support these days since she's going through something, so I literally haven't had time to log in except for checking notifs!
So glad you loved the chapter! I wanted to incorporate a teeny weeny bit of our original Asad and Zoya into it! I'll try to update as soon as possible, but the PROBLEM is, I'm having a writers block about this story. I'm not sure which direction to take in in, BUT, as compensation, I'm writing an OS based on the original QH storyline to help me clear my mind a bit, I'll post the link as well as PM it to you if you'd like :)
