Hardcore nationalism has no place in Oscars. I expected this rejection.

Go to any big luxury company. Staff is actually trained to call loyality- Lord or Lady. British manners are literally taught to remove Indian attitude from people. This is colonial hangover.
All I see from this movie and understand from the incident is loss of humanity where people didn't get treated as humans anymore.
If nationalism is all most people see, I accept the view but don't agree with it.
Ya likes d romanticising of poverty like slumdog millionaire n get kicks from it but can’t take d truth ☺️

I've been to quite a few and heard Sir and Ma'am everywhere but unless an actual titled person came around, there was no Lord or Lady.
Which one are you talking about?

I have worked in luxury. So we were actually taught to refer royalty as lord and lady. This still happens in India.

Ah. Royalty. Yeah, they do expect to be referred to by titles.
The rest are sir and ma'am.
The companies have a point, though. They're in it to make money, and their customers have to be treated as expected. Or the businesses will go under.
also this movie was such a chore to watch! i fell asleep after 20 minutes and then gave up 🥱
