25th april: Plots, promises and pleas!

Hi guys,

I would rather describe todays episode as "khatarnak saazishein aur bulund eradein"!

2. Chemistry between inspector and Sohni rocks

The Khuranas are eating when Sohni answers the phone call from Sharmaji who asks them to come immediately because the entire office has been destroyed. Sohni asks Rano to go with her to which B3 refuses to let Rano go. Sohni and Rano are shocked and so Sohni has to reveal the truth about the call. Amrit requests B3 to accompany the girls. They reach the office and see the destruction and a bleeding and hurt Sharmaji. Sohni asks where the rest of the staff are to which Sharmaji says "everyone went out for some job or the other" (how ridiculous). Anyway a peon comes and Sohni asks him to take Sharmaji to the hospital.

The girls and B3 go to the police station to state their case. Inspector saab (munda kamaal!) tells them he will do all he can to help. Sohni (nein lad gayee re) says "thanks sir" to which he (i still dont know his name in the serial) reiterates that it is his duty. He pointedly asks Sohni "you have my mobile number dont you?" And then promptly gives it her without his name (wonder what she designated him).

The girls are back home. The scene shifts to some den of gundas playing carrom. Munda kamaal reaches there and questions one of them, who incidentally was among the riff raff. He arrests him after a short but fruitful chase and jails him.

Ah! The hotel room door opens and Rishi and Simar enter their room with joy written on their faces. Rishi is dressed in blue denim jeans, white T-shirt and a burgundy (some velvety) jacket. Simar is dressed in a dark blue glittery sari (behenji!) and they have a conversation about fear of heights. Simar says she has agoraphobia to which Rishi says "you shouldnt be afraid when you are with me". The phone rings and Veera has called.

Now this scene is a must watch. Veera is sitting on a chair while Cha dressed in a shiny mauve kurta,🤣 lying sideways on a moving jhoola is chomping on an apple that is speared to the tip of a long kitchen knife. I was in splits! Veera talks to Rishi and then demands to talk to her DIL. Rishi complies and promptly disappears into the washroom. Veera makes Cha say in the background about Balraj's office and its attack by gundas. With this Simar is back to her sad and nervous look as Veera refuses to tell her anymore. Rishi emerges in his WHITE kurta suit (back to square one! This production house really has a problem with clothes). Simar asks rishi if he had dreams about his marriage and honeymoon. She apologises for not fulfilling them. To this Rishi asks her to share both joy and sorrow with him.

Veera scolds Ajmer Singh and asks him what happens if his man talks in the jail. Cha says that Ajmer is not capable of big jobs. Veera then says " i never depend on one person, that is Veera".

Next morning the girls are arguing with B3 and Amrit about going to the office. Again a must see scene for Amrit's tedious dialogues. Sohni says she dreams of fulfilling her late father's aspirations. To this Amrit says "Girls dont dream of offices, they dream of their sasurals only". My God, for once i was speechless with shock. Ucch vichar!😡 Sohni retorts that Amrit has never permitted them to go out or do anything by themselves and thus they are so inadequate and dont know anything. 👏 Then she says that nowadays there is no difference between boys and girls. 👏 (way to go Sohni!) B3 says what if something happens to the girls? Munda kamaal comes in uninvited and says "oh now nothing will happen to them because the gundas are behind bars. Sorry for coming without prior information but the news was so great that i had to come "(all the while he is making sidelong glances at Sohni).

Now the girls go away to the office after praying to Balraj's photo for guidance, love and blessings, and Rano receives a call on her mobile. The Khurana women are prone to receiving only bad news on their telephone and the men in this serial are prone to accidents. Rano says "kya?" Sohni asks her the reason and Rano says that Gaurav has had an accident.

Precap: B3 has come to the office and is demanding in Sohni's face "where is Rano"? Sohni is twiddling her thumbs and is nervous when B3 shouts the question on her face (you know i remembered the various appliances that the students used to wear in "Main hoon na" to ward of Satish Shah's spittle). Rano comes in at that moment and says "mein batathi hoon"..........

Comments and performances:

1. No great performances today.

2. I must say that the chemistry between inspector saab and Sohni is tangible and growing by the episode. I quite like the pair of them gauging each other's hearts and feelings.👏 👏

3. Amrit's views are the pits man! I have never seen such a backward woman. I certainly have never had dreams of any sasurals. If any of you have, please share. I would like to know because this part of my education is sadly lacking!😆 😆
