Yes... Maya was confused and was even ready to run away. Had she run away, maybe the Rishi's family would have been upset for sometime, but they would have eventually understood...Maybe they wouldn't have been upset too much, they seem understanding, likeable people..

I agree Dev gave the worst advice to Maya.

Interesting, they may have met but I think the only thing that bought them together was misery.

Rhea was a career-driven woman, but that increased because she was the sole bread-earner in the family of four. After Dev's accident, it was her money that was running the house. And they were living in NYC, one of the most expensive cities in the world. Had she taken a breather, they would fail paying their bills and getting basic necessities like food. Dev could have easily taken up a different job but he was so bitter after his injury. Plus the fact that Dev's mother preferred to live with Rhea even after the divorce spoke volumes about the kind of person she was.

And when was it established that Rishi was bad in bed? Maya was never interested in him, irrespective of what he did for her. Forget about intimacy, but every time he would try being romantic with her she would just brush him aside, and call him immature. Rishi did work on trying to make their marriage work, it was Maya who was least interested in him. She never put in any kind of effort from her end at all.

You won't have said that if the genders were reversed. Just because Dev is a man you're expecting him to go out and work. Otherwise he's a freeloader. Dev never asked or forced Rhea for all the comforts and luxuries. She got all that because she wanted to.

She choose to be a career woman. She wasn't pressured to be one. They could've moved back to India if living in New York was such a big deal for them.

As for Rishi being bad in bed, just look at the scene after their wedding anniversary. Rishi was frustrated because Maya wasn't interested in having sex. This wasn't the first time it happened, which lead to Rishi's extreme anger.

He was frustrated that he can't satisfy his wife so blamed everything on her because his ego can't accept that it could be his fault.

I can still understand Maya as to why she married him - she sort of felt guilty for turning down Rishi. Rishi and his father was the only family she had so it weighed her decision to marry him down, coupled with the fact that she got the worst advice on her wedding day.

Also, Rishi was bad at having a conversations.. he tried to joke around to lighten the situation but Maya wanted intense, deep conversations. Both of them were so incompatible and hence unhappy. It would have never worked.

Dev’s relationship would have worked had he not been so stuck up due to his injury and moved on.. and supported his wife. He could have enjoyed the life his wife gave him instead he just couldn’t get over his past and would keep cribbing all the time.

Easy to say Dev should've moved on. Life of a crippled person is not easy. What they go through daily, we can't imagine.

Even if the genders were reversed I would've blamed the other spouse for being home. In major expensive cities it actually makes sense for both spouses to work. If Rhea was sitting at home and cribbing, I'd rather she takes up a job anywhere to not only bring the money, but keep herself busy and positive. This is the same thing I would've expected from a guy like Dev too. Rhea was a career oriented woman but she did have the pressure to take care of a family of four, so why wouldn't she work extra hard and try for promotions? If the genders were reversed, Dev would've had to do the same thing.

And they did seem like second generation NRIs, given that the parents were senior citizens in US...so why would they go back to India? Its difficult for NRIs to make that decision. I remember returning after being abroad for almost 18 months and finding it scary to walk on the streets amidst the traffic or drive my car.

Coming to Rishi and Maya...she did not love him and just married because it seemed safe at the time. But if there are no feelings, why would she even be interested in having sex? It had nothing to do with Rishi's incompetence, that I would've agreed to if Maya and he had a healthy marriage and the only problem would've been intimacy. He could've bought toys into their sex life and she would still call him immature and be cold during sex. She did not love him, and simply did not want to do it with him.

Being career oriented women doesn't make her a bad person, there was an argument between dev and Rhea where she asks why don't people ask these kind of questions to a man who doesn't give time to his family? Yes, women do argue with their husbands when they don't have time for the family but they don't go out having affairs or sleeping with other married people behind their backs. And it was also mentioned that though dev couldn't provide them a good financial life she had to work really hard.

As far as rishi is conserned, I never thought he was bad in bed😆 as he always wanted to be physical with Maya, she didn't had any Love wali feelings for him hence for HER he was "not good enough"

It was just 4 words for dev and maya to end their marriage and be settled with each other "it's not working out" simple🤗
