That Anu never liked cooking. That she never wanted to wear sarees. That she had a thirst for reading. That dancing was her soul's calling. That she believes love is pride & sacred.
Why did they even tell us all that if that stuff was never going to resolved? Her dance academy was such a big deal! But now it's her cooking that taking her miles ahead. We never see her trying to read books. Attempts at reading English newspaper barely got a passing mention recently. She is more comfortable wearing sarees now. Cool, it's her personal choice. No one has a say in how she chooses to cover her body. But then she went on to reprimand Kavya for showing her vulgar ankles.
I don't mean to complain! I love how Anu is progressing right now. But it still feels like she's shackled with what was forced upon her against her will. She at least needs a monologue about how all this stuff was once thrust upon her.. And now she will use the same cooking, homeliness, saree, etc to snatch freedom from the people who enslaved her.
