Akshara was asked nicely by Zeeshan yesterday from what I saw in the episode. Divya too had very lovingly offered helping Akshara, to 'sametofy' (organize) her belongings as she apparently had too many boxes. I believe Akshara had made her mind up, that she was not going to listen to Zeeshan come what may. She wanted to create a tamasha as she'd indicated to Milind while they were talking. She was bitching about Zeeshan to Nishant, Milind from the very first time he requested her to do that and later challenged Zeeshan to 'Pheko' her things, when he'd simply suggested if he could 'move' her things himself to a different corner in the washroom. So Akshara was looking for a fight yesterday. She somehow processed it in her mind, that just because Zeeshan and Divya became Captains, they're trying to act Bossy. I liked how Divya understood that and explained to Zeeshan in private, that just because they've become Captains, even a request they put forward, is perceived as an order by some.
Another thing about Akshara - Felt it was her ego that was hurt when she was asked her to organize and shift her things. She probably thought 'how dare they ask me to move my things or suggest that I am untidy and occupying a lot of space'? So I doubt the notion that - if anyone talks lovingly to Akshara, she'll do things, worked yesterday. It wasn't what tone Zeeshan used yesterday that irked her, but what was being asked of her to do, that irked her so much. Things got heated from Zeeshan's end quite later in the day, when Akshara didn't pay heed to his requests and poked him back sarcastically, challenged him to throw her things.
With regards to Shamita, I agree to all the three point you've made. Her attitude towards such a simple task/punishment, was grossly pathetic. It could've been her baggage and all, but was inexcusable.
Fair points.
I believe Akshara said (in LF) that Zee asked her three times. The episode showed Zee ask twice maybe 2-3 hours apart.
The second time Zee asked, I agree Aksharaâs reaction was excessive (Pratik and Akshara were sitting inside near the bedroom).
The third time Zee asked when Akshara was outside around 4:45 pm. I canât remember the exact conversation, but I believe it went something like:
âAkshara, you have a bunch of boxes - can you come check it outâ
âCan I leave it for some timeâ (said calmly and nicely)
âEveryone has done it.â
âI canât do it now.â (Still nicely)
âToh mein uthake rakh doonga kahi pe bhiâ (this is what bothered me - Zee didnât offer to move it in a nice helpful way. He was kind of frustrated too. He was telling everyone that he told akshaea that if she canât do, heâll move the boxes for her. It wasnât as kind as that.).
âTry throwing my things and Iâll show you.â (Akshara is getting angry).
Zee walks away saying âhatt hattâ.
After Zee moves the boxes, he loudly declares to Divya that he threw âphenkaâ Aksharaâs boxes behind the sofa.
I agree that her reaction after that was OTT. I donât know if she was trying to start a fight on purpose, but it just felt like she wasnât in a proper state of mind. I do believe that if Zee handled this properly, this would hav been a non-issue. He implied that he wanted the job done now (indicated by his lack of negotiation). If someone told me that I donât think I can do X job today, my response would be âokay, when do you think you can have it done by? Would before going to sleep be fine?â And we would negotiate.
if the issue was only about *two boxes*, my approach would have been âHey Akshara, you have two boxes there. Could you please move it to your side? No? Do you mind if I do it for you? It wouldnât be a problem.â Or something along those lines.
I do see your point though. Her reaction was delayed and Zee saying âchal nikalâ is what triggered her to start yelling at Zee. It can be argued that she was looking for a fight but Zee wasnât giving anything, so she took that opportunity. I wonât deny that - itâs a likely possibility.
