Dhara-Raavi Scene
Everyone knows my soft corner for Raavi, given her fragile emotional state.
The anger and lashing out at her by Dhara again today broke my heart. I don't mind her being okay with the beating. We need to understand that she might have been genuinely witnessing all this beating since childhood, so it's normal to her. We can't expect her to start respecting Shiva within five days because he is her unwanted husband now. She did take the ointment for both of them but left because of Dev. So, I am assuming Dev is still a sore topic for her, and they both need to resolve by verbalising an apology from Dev and Raavi just closing it with him.
Dhara screaming at her-Why, can't she take care of Shiva is gaslighting of another level! Like Dude, why the f***k did she get her devars married if she still wanted to be the center of their universe? Only to procreate? I am sorry but this strange Dhara is extremely toxic! Pyar, samman and Izzat cannot be beaten into people. I am sorry but no! Her partial treatment towards Rishita is unbearable to watch.
I love how you presented your point of view! 👏 After reading the above, I do feel a little less upset with Raavi. I think more than her the inconsistent writing is what bothers me. I honestly wish the scene had her coming in handing the ointment to Gaumbi and leaving. A part of me felt like she came in to make that single comment (almost like a child coming to a teacher after a class brawl to give her two cents) but then the part that really feels for Raavi agrees with you. She is very kind and probably just wanted to reach out to Dhara. But I completely agree that Dhara’s behavior has no excuse and is just plain disgusting. The way she forces Raavi makes me so so uncomfortable. It’s been only 5 days like you said! I don’t want Raavi anywhere near her cuz she does not deserve to be at the receiving end while Rishu baby is given khada to scream Mera Dev all day!
As for Raavi respecting Shiva, I do agree. It can’t happen so quickly. I just hope the writing is consistent and build towards a day where she truly respects him. In the end, without respect a relationship cannot thrive nor be meaningful.I am all in for a story that involves a considerable attraction but emotionally distant Raavi! That'd probably be the first time I shall see such exciting dynamics between a couple.
Me too! The only thing I want is the nok jhok to be either toned down or balance with scenes of physical attraction and scenes that take the story forward. Truly it’ll be an exciting dynamic for an ITV couple. Years ago, I read a novel where the female protagonist was emotionally distant. During an intimate moment, she closes her eyes and tell him to get it over already. He backs off because he’s in love and cannot be in it for just physical reasons. Some emotional moments follow. It’s ITV but I would love to see something along those lines where Raavi is emotionally distant and Shiva is affected by it
Shiva and his emotional loneliness are so evident even with all the brothers hugging. We see there's no malice in his heart, and he is in love with his brothers. If you'd notice Shiva, he is someone who internalises his grief or feelings. He is vocal as passionate only when it comes to emotions like love for his family or anger. Deep down, the part which he internalises is highly vulnerable and distant from everyone. It’d be such a pleasure to watch Raavi touch that extremely hidden part of him.
Bang on! I noticed the same! That scene was so heartbreaking because you literally feel his loneliness and despite hugging his brothers, he doesn’t let it all out! Kanwar was really good in that scene 👏 Even before the leap, Shiva was vocal only while showing anger or love for his family. When it comes to grief and certain other emotions, he tends to keep those to himself. They can give us so many beautiful moments! I really hope the writers touch on this aspect and understand Shiva the way we do! Sometimes I feel like ITV writers don’t realize what they have created 😆
For once, I don't want Shiva to fall for Raavi because she cares for the family. I find that the most bizarre reasons on ITV! Look she fed me, I love her for cooking my favourite food. Look, she respects my family. Those can be added bonuses, but two individuals should fall in love because they found each other compatible and not merely due to family.
My biggest concern from day one was and still is that they will show Shiva falling for Raavi because she loves his family. Like you said, it’s such a bizarre reason! It’s a plus but should never be the main reason. Personally, if that ends up being the reason, I’ll probably check out and be done. I really don’t want them to show that. It’ll ruin all the emotions and complexity in their relationship 😆
I love the importance of family, but I am sorry, individuals matter too. They have hopes, dreams and ambitions. It's not a crime to love yourself too. Dev refused a job. Freaking stupid. He could have taken the position to support more financially and maybe later migrate to a chain of stores with his MBA degree. Plan better. Invest in the strategic growth of the business while Shiva does operations and hard work.
Raavi needs to think beyond cooking for the family. What's precisely her ambition? Rishita apparently is educated more? What's her dream?
How long can you just rely on a shop to meet expenses.
One hundred percent!! I totally agree!! Loved your entire comment here and was hoping to reply once I got up in the morning 😆 (felt too tired to think last night 😆).
