Chapter 31: Slow and Steady
Recap: Aayesha-Arjun talks, ArAkshi moments, Spray painting the street wall, Going back to Mumbai
"Kya laga itni jaldi peecha chut jaayega? Abhi aur bohot kuch hona baaki hai." And he walks away. ____________________________________
Sameer starts the trip back to Mumbai with a bit upset team with him. Not that they are unhappy to go back, but they felt occupied with so many people around that now they are feeling low. They all hope for a case to come in hand so that they can again divert themselves in files, crimes and office. Their work was the only way they could forget about the dark days they spent in the island. Along with work there was Dr. Grewal's therapy too which was helping them come out of the trauma. It had been 3 months and there was a lot of improvement in them, but it is always impossible to forget something so horrible but they were trying. Trying to come to terms with it. They got justice with the death of Sikandar and now they were in search of peace to calm their disturbed minds, the disturbed thoughts and the nightmares which followed.
They all continued their therapy and medication even after joining duty. Sameer had spoken to Coelho sir about it and he too had asked Sameer to take care of his team. Once in a week no matter how busy they all were, Shree would take them to Dr. Grewal. Shree even looked after their medications and made sure they took it.
Their trip back to Mumbai was a very quiet one. All were even tired because of staying awake the whole night, painting the walls and themselves. SamJun looked at them sleeping and smiled. Slowly even Arjun dozed off and Sameer was the only one awake in the car. Soon he stops the car for lunch at a nearby restaurant
"Utho sab ke sab." he orders.
All rub their eyes and get up with a sheepish smile. Sameer smiles looking at their face "Kya hua? Khana nahi khana? Chotu?"
"Khana hai sir." Chotu scratches his head as he answers. "Toh jaao andar." Sameer walks towards a table.
"Sorry sir humaari aankh lag gayi." Ayesha apologises as she takes a seat.
Sameer shakes his head in disbelief "It's okay ho jata hai. You all were tired."
"Haan Sameer. Lekin tired tum bhi toh the." Sakshi reasons.
"Nahi kyunki main wall painting karne nahi gaya tha na. Toh.." and smirks looking at Liza. Liza just bows her head not answering anything.
Shree takes this as an opportunity "Dekha Chipkali tumhaari wajah se kya kya ho gaya." He taunts. Liza glares at him but by now Chotu intervenes "Aye Shree chup kar na. Kyun satata rehta hai usse."
"Haan Specky. Tumhe toh bas mauka chahiye mujhe sunane ka." Liza storms at him. The rest just roll their eyes and continue looking at the menu. Liza continues "Aur agar itna hi tumhe nahi aana tha, toh na aate. Kissi ne force thode kiya tha"
Shree mimicks her expression which makes her evn more angry "Specky!!"
"Bas karo tum dono. Jagah dekh kar ladai kar liya karo." Ayesha intervenes strictly. Both sulk and glare at each other.
Sameer smiles at their childish behaviour "Theek hai order toh kar lo. Kya khaaoge?" They all tell what they will eat and Sameer orders it. Soon after the waiter leaves Chotu looks around the restaurant.
Sakshi notices it "Itni jaldi nahi aayega khana Chotu. Abhi order kiya hai na." This earns a small chuckle from everyone.
Chotu scrunches his eyebrows at this "Mala mahit ahe Sakshi (I know Sakshi)" Sakshi smiles cheerfully. "Woh toh main washroom dhoond raha tha." Chotu adds.
"Hum maan gaye Chotu." Liza also adds teasing Chotu. He just looks at her and Liza winks at him.
"Guys!" Ayesha chides them and they stop. She looks at a dejected Chotu "Gents washroom wahaan hai Chotu." saying so Ayesha directs him. Chotu leaves.
"Aur uske opposite Ladies Washroom hai tum dono freshen up hona chahte ho toh jao." Ayesha tells the girls.
"Main baad mein jaaungi" Sakshi answers as she takes a sip from her cold drink. Liza goes to the washroom.
Ayesha keeps looking towards the washroom direction. Shree looks at her worried and places his hand over hers "Aa jaayenge woh. Washroom hi gaye hai." In those 6 years Ayesha grew very protective of her loved ones, because of which she constantly worries about their whereabouts.
In the washroom the door got jammed. Liza tries very hard to open the door but because of not proper oiling she was unable to. A few mischievous kids come to the washroom and as a prank they switch off the light. Liza trembles in fear and with all her strength tries to open the door. She even screams and bangs the door continuously. But at the same moment a birthday song plays in full volume as in the restaurant there was birthday being celebrated so no one could hear the loud noise of door banging. She felt caged in the washroom. She wanted to get out as she felt suffocated. She started remembering her dark days in the island and again started beating the door. Chotu by then had come out of the washroom but was unable to hear the sound. He walks towards the table.
Ayesha feels restless as Liza had not yet come. Sameer look at her anxious state "Ayesha! Liza aa jaayegi. Don't worry." By this Sakshi and Shree also realise that it has been a while and Liza has not yet come. Chotu looks at them questioningly "Liza kahan gayi hai?" he questions Shree.
"Woh washroom gayi thi, fresh hone." Shree replies.
"Lekin bohot der ho chuki hai." Sakshi starts getting restless too. Sakshi and Ayesha glance at each other and walk towards the washroom in a hurry. They call Liza out loudly but she doesn't reply. They knock on the door, but no answer. The light of the bathroom was switched off. Both the girls get worried. They switch on the light and with all their might try opening the door. After a lot of trials the door opens and they see Liza unconscious. They try waking her up by splashing water on her face but she doesn't respond.
"Sakshi bahar jaake sab ko inform kar do." Ayesha states and Sakshi runs out.
"Guys Liza behosh ho gayi hai." She informs them shivering. All get shocked at this and at once get up from their seat "Kya? Sakshi kaise?" The boys ask at once and leave to check Liza. They barge into the ladies washroom. At that point it didn't even matter where they were. All they cared was about was Liza and nothing else. They see Ayesha who had placed Liza's head on her lap and was rubbing her hand vigorously. Sameer sits beside Liza and does the same. Chotu and Shree rub her feet.
"Yeh kaise hua Sakshi?" Arjun asks all worried. He wets his handkerchief and gives it to Ayesha who then places it on Liza's forehead.
"Woh darwaza jam ho gaya tha aur kissi ne light off kar diya. Liza darr ke maare behosh ho gayi." Sakshi replies as she cries inconsolably. Chotu and Shree look at her in a knowing look. They knew that Liza was afraid of being in a locked room and upon that darkness.
"Tum log kuch chupa rahe ho?" Sameer asks sternly looking at the juniors.
Shree bows his head "Sir woh Liza band kamre mein nahi reh sakti. Usse dar lagta hai. Usse Sikandar ki yaad aati hai. Aur upar se andhera bhi toh issiliye yeh haalat hui hai."
Arjun and Sameer look away in disgust. Disgust for Sikandar who scared their team members for life. He snatched their happiness and their cheerful smile away. All the staff and customers of the restaurant gather outside and witness the situation. A few even talk amongst themselves.
Liza gains consciousness by now and looks around. She finds herself out of the toilet and her team besides her. She cries inconsolably. Ayesha Sakshi Chotu and Shree gather her in a hug trying to console her. She stops crying and wipes her tears off her face. She turns to look at SamJun who wipe their tears and look at her lovingly.
"Sorry sir meri wajah se..." Liza says but before she could continue Sameer hugs her and plants a kiss on the crown of her head. "Tumhari wajah se kuch nahi hua hai. Tum yeh sab mat socho." Liza too hugs him back while Ayesha rubs her back to comfort her. Sameer and Liza leave each other.
"Mujhe toh laga tha main wahaan humesha ke liye qaid ho jaungi." Liza states when Sakshi takes her hand and kisses it "Hum hai na humesha tumhaare paas. Aur tumhe kabhi kuch nahi hoga." Liza smiles lightly and so do others.
They turn to see everyone looking at them when Arjun screams "Tamasha chal raha hai yahan? Niklo sab." At this all leave. They too leave the restaurant without having anything. Liza sheds a few tears as she feels that because of her everyones mood got off.
Arjun looks at that and forwards another handkerchief "Liza yeh lo aur apne aansu pocho aur thoda sa muskurao warna sab kahenge ki apne senior se inspire ho rahi ho." Arjun states and Liza smiles lightly for his satisfaction. He too knew that it was not from her heart but for now he didn't expect anything else.
They get into the car and Sameer drives off to another restaurant nearby. They have their lunch quietly. Sakshi Ayesha Chotu and especially Liza were shook. They felt a throbbing pain in their heart because of which they were quiet. After lunch Shree gives them their medicine and their heartbeat comes to a normal rate and they become a bit relaxed.
This time Arjun drives when they stop again at another restaurant for dinner. All have their dinner and while coming out a hungry dog comes in search of food. Shree buys a Prle-G packet and feeds it. Seeing it salivate and bark Chotu remembers the dogs in the island and takes a step back. It wouldn't happen normally but today after the washroom incident they could only remember those years. Ayesha holds his hand to comfort him and they walk till the car. This goes unnoticed by SamJun as they were busy discussing something else.
They reach Mumbai by night and Arjun stops at Ayesha's home, where all get down from the car and take their bags from the Dickey when Sameer stops them.
"Kal subah tum logon ki chuti hai." Sameer informs. All look at him in surprise and later in dejection. "Sameer kal shaam ko Dr. Grewal ka appointment hai na? Usske liye subah ki chuti?" Sakshi asks.
"Haan Sakshi kyunki subah tum chaaron ka general check up hoga." Sameer answers as he looks at their pale face. All get tensed as they think it to be for official reasons and if it is not right they might have to quit working in the department.
Arjun studies their facial expressions "Don't worry yeh official nahi hai bas humaari tasalli ke liye." he assures.
"Lekin sir..." Ayesha says when she gets cut by Shree "Theek hai sir kal main inhe City Hospital le jaaonga." All look at him in disbelief.
"Haan theek hai lage haath tum apna bhi general check up karwao." Sameer orders at which Shree gets baffled. The four lightly chuckle at him and his situation. "Sir isski kya zaroorat hai? Main theek hun." Shree timidly answers.
"Yeh mera order hai Shree." Sameer sternly replies and Shree bows his head in disappointment. Sameer continues "Aur Rawate tum logon ke saath aayega." All get shocked including Arjun. "Kya?" Arjun asks.
"Haan. Shree akele kaise karega sab." Sameer says at which Arjun agrees to accompany. "Aur lage haath tum bhi check up karwa lo. I need your reports too Rawate." Sameer adds at which Arjun just glares at him.
"Tera kuch zyada nahi ho raha Rathode?" Arjun sarcastically asks.
"Nahi. Bas tum logon ke liye hi hai yeh sab. Coelho sir ne bhi yahi kaha mujhse." Sameer answers casually.
"Theek hai toh tu bhi aa. Tera bhi check up hoga." Arjun demands.
"Mera check-up hospital mein ho gaya tha na. Reports ghar jaake dikha deta hun." Sameer teasingly answer. All look at him in irritation and Sameer just nervously smiles at this.
Arjun hits the dashboard in frustration when Sameer chides him "Gussa ek bejaan cheez pe kyun nikal raha hai?
"Tujhpe nahi nikaal sakta na. Issiliye." Arjun answers sternly. Juniors smile at Arjun's frustration and Sameer prays silently for his safety at home.
They bid good bye to their seniors and go inside. SamJun too drive back to their home.
SamJun enter their house when Arjun drops his bag at the door and heaves a sigh of relief "Ahhh!! Ghar ghar hota hai Sam."
Sameer looks at him in disbelief "Haan ghar ghar hota hai. Hotel nahi ki bell-boy aake saamaan andar rakhega." saying so he chides Arjun.
"Bell-boy ki kya zaroorat, tu hai na." Arjun annoys Sameer further.
"Arjun!!" Sameer calls him out angrily. Arjun comes and places both his hands on Sameer's shoulder "Ab kal mujhe check up ke liye jaana hai toh na aaj thoda aaraam kar leta hoon." Arjun stretches himself and walks to the bedroom. Sameer smiles at him and his antics and keeps the bag inside.
He arranges everything from the bag back in its place and Arjun just rolls his eyes. "Sam yeh tu kal bhi kar sakta hai." Arjun states at which Sameer just glares at him. "Theek hai aaj hi kar le. Teri marzi." Arjun shrugs his shoulder. Sameer continues his work.
At Ayesha's home all sit quietly without talking much. Sakshi closes her eyes and rests her head on the couch back.
She visualises herself in a cage where there is no light and rats inside. She opens her eyes with a small shriek. All the attention diverts towards her. She looks at them with terrorized eyes and then rushes to the washroom.
Splashing a lot of water on her face she looks at the mirror. Her eyes red, her lips trembling just by the thought of it. She tries to control herself but it takes time. Once she feels she can control herself, she comes out. Everyone had prepared their mattress and were ready to sleep. Shree gives them their tablets. They all gulp it down and lie down. There is a pin drop silence in the house. All slowly fall asleep because of the medicines. Shree looks at them sleeping and with tears in his eyes he too falls asleep.
Staying with them from so many days has surely taken toll on his mental health too. He was there for them everytime. He has seen them in their worst and never imagined something like that to happen to them. At the end whatever it is, he is sensitive.
In SamJun's house the two were discussing about what to do for the next day. They were pretty prepared but Sameer had something else in his mind too.
"Kya soch raha hai Sam?" Arjun had sensed that something was going on in Sameer's mind.
Sameer comes out of his thoughts and looks at Arjun "Main yeh soch raha hun Arjun ki kal Dr. Grewal ke paas Shree ko bhi le jaate hai."
"Kya? Shree ko kya hua hai?" Arjun asks worried.
Sameer looks at Arjun's tension and smiles lightly "Abhi kuch nahi hua hai. Bas itne dino se woh unn chaaron ko sambhal raha hai. Unke saath hai. Kuch toh asar hua hoga na uss pe. Aasaan nahi hota Arjun apne kareebi ko tadapta hua dekhna." He finishes off with a guilt in his eyes.
He knew what it was like to see someone close to oneself suffer. He was with Arjun and he saw him suffer too, but still he was unable to console him. Situations were such but he had lot of guilt filled up in his heart.
"Sam humaare paas Khaaskar tumhare paas koi option nahi tha. Toh jo hua jaane de" Arjun comforts him. Sameer also smiles "Toh kal tum sab ke check up ke baad tum sab Rooh clinic pahunch jaana. Main wahin milta hoon tum sab ko. Theek hai?" Sameer asks.
"Yes 'Sir'!" Arjun sarcastically mocks Sameer and Sameer also smiles at this. Sameer continues "Lekin Shree ko therapy ke baare mein pehle hi bata mat dena. I don't know woh kaise lega iss baat ko. Toh wahan pahunchke hi bata denge." Arjun nods his head in agreement.
"Chal mere baap. Agar sabki chinta karke ho gaya ho toh so jaate hai." saying so Arjun pushes him.
Next day morning at Ayesha's home all get up and get ready for the check up reluctantly. They don't want to go because if there is a slight problem also Sameer is going to get tensed. Already they feel their seniors are handling so much upon that the check-ups, doctor visit etc. They felt like a burden.
"Ready ho jaao guys. Rathode sir na humaari class le lenge warna." Shree warns them. All nod their head and come to the entrance soon. "Shree tu bhi humaare saath Doctor ke paas aa raha hai kya?" Chotu asks.
"Haan aur nahi toh kya!" Shree answers. He continues "Mere wahan aane se tum logon ko kya problem hai?" He questions.
"Koi problem nahi hai Shree bas hum bhoj nahi ban na chahte tum teenon par." Sakshi answers. Shree gets furious and to control his anger he looks in other direction and takes a deep breath.
"Mujhse keh diya koi baat nahi lekin Rathode sir aur Arjun sir ko yeh baat bhul ke bhi mat batana." He warns them. All just look down in embarrassment. Shree continues "Main nahi chahta ki woh jaane ki tum log humein paraya maante ho. Woh log toh tum sabko family maanke yeh sab kar rahe hai. Aur tum log, hum bhoj utha rahe hai bol rahe ho. Waah!"
"Shree!!" They slowly exclaim. "Hum aisa nahi soch rahe the. Woh bas..." saying so Sakshi looks down. Shree realises he went a bit too far "Sorry. Mujhe aise react nahi karna chahiye tha. Lekin ek baat tum log dhyaan se suno aur samjho. Tum log humaare liye koi bhoj nahi ho." He continues "Samjhe Ya Samjhaun?" in Arjun style. All slightly chuckle at this.
Shree drives to SamJun's building where Arjun gets into the car and they leave for General Tests. Shree parks the car in hospital parking lot after that they go inside the hospital. Arjun looks at his nervous juniors "Don't worry dopahar tak nikal jaayenge hum." he says to relieve them.
"Sir aapko kisne kaha hum tests se dar rahe hai?" Chotu asks. Arjun looks at him confused as Shree continues "Haan sir test se zyada humein report ki fikr hai."
Arjun gets confused "Kya? Kyun? Exams ke report card nahi hai na."
"Uss result se kon dara hai?" Ayesha asks bluntly. Arjun smiles lightly and replies "So toh hai." Ayesha turns to look at him.
"Arjun agar report mein kuch bhi yahaan wahaan hua na toh Sameer pura office sar pe utha lega." Sakshi states. Liza in agreement continues "Haan sir issiliye toh dar lag raha hai."
Arjun now gets their problem "Waise sach kahoon toh dar mujhe bhi lag raha hai. Bas report theek aa jaaye." He says and he nods his head. All look at him first and then at each other giving 'mar gaye' look. If Arjun is also nervous then Sameer can be pretty serious about health.
They all finish their check up by afternoon and head to Rooh Clinic. All are just tensed as to what is going to happen. It was just therapy but being vulnerable was something they didn't want. After a lot of sessions and outbursts in those sessions they were improving. So therapy had helped them in a big way. All get down from the car when they see their chief.
"Yeh yahaan kaise?" Chotu murmurs under his breath.
"Inhe kahi reports jaldi toh nahi mil gaye na?" Liza questions at which others look at her. Looking at their gaze she clears her throat "I mean one never knows."
"Liza tumhe kya nahi pata?" Sameer asks. Liza doesn't wait to think and responds "Ki aap yahaan kyun aaye hai?" Everyone's mouth wide opens. Ayesha hits her shoulder after which Liza realises "Sorry sir."
Sameer smiles "Woh main yahaan issiliye aaya hun kyunki Shree tumhari bhi appointment hai." he informs.
"Kya?!! Kyun?!!" Shree exclaims loudly. It was so loud that Arjun had to cover his ears as he was standing next to him. Arjun glares at him and Shree mellows down "Sorry." The rest control their laughter at his situation.
He continues by looking at Sameer "Lekin sir main kyun? Mujhe kuch nahi hua hai? Aur main Kolkata mein tha na." Shree reasons.
"Haan lekin tumhe zaroorat hai." Sameer says and takes him to a corner. The rest go inside as per Arjun's instructions.
"Dekho Shree yeh kuch mahine tumhaare liye bhi bahut mushkil the. Aur tum kiss haalaat se guzre ho main jaanta hun." Sameer says. Arjun adds "Haan Shree. Sam sahi keh raha hai. Tumhare liye yahi acha hai ki tum aaj Dr se mil lo."
"Sir!" Shree reluctantly agrees to go and meet the Doctor.
"Inhe time lagega issiliye office chalte hai. Shree ko bata diya tha ki direct office aa jana." Sameer says. Arjun looks at him and agrees. They reach office and retire to their respective cabins.
Here all the juniors finish their session and come to office. Compared to yesterday they were little relieved. It is going to be very uncertain and tough but "one step at a time" was being followed by them.
As soon as they left from clinic Dr. Grewal called Sameer and gave him updates about their progress. Confidentiality was maintained and at the same time their improvement was informed.
"Improvement nahi hai aisa main nahi kahunga Sameer, lekin haan progress aaj zyada tha nahi. Chinta mat kijiye kal jo hua uska asar pad chuka hai. They might feel better now. Haan lekin unhe khush rakhne ki koshish zaroor kijiye." said Dr. Grewal. He even informed Sameer a bit about Shree's condition. Because of which he is drained out.
"Thank you so much Doctor." Sameer expressed his gratitude and cut the call. He informed Arjun about Grewal's call
Here these arrived at the office and since there was no work they all simply sat on their desks being bored. Shree went to Sameer's cabin "Sir they are feeling better now." Sameer looks up at him. He still standing there waits for Sameer to answer.
"Ek kaam karo waise bhi kuch karne ko nahi hai toh take this as your leisure time. Lekin office mein hi rehna. ETF mein case kabhi bhi aa sakta hai." Sameer orders. Shree nods his head in positive "Yes sir" and leaves from there.

Shree comes only to see that his friends are still in some sort of thoughts. He plays a song because if he would sing the atmosphere of the office would be even more sad.

Hearing the tune all four turn to look at him. Sameer Arjun also hear and they smile at Shree's efforts.
Ayesha looks at him in disbelief "Office hai yeh Shree" she smacks his head.
"Haan toh permission bhi mujhe mil chuki hai." Shree replies joyfully.

"Kiss se?" Sakshi asks looking at him with questioning eyes.
"Aree Rathode sir se. Unhone leisure time diya hai." Shree replies as he twirls Sakshi. Sakshi also smiles at this and enjoys the song.

"Really?" Liza asks surprised.
"Haan really. Sir ne permission di hai." Shree answers.
He goes to Chotu when Chotu spoils Shree's hairstyle. Shree angrily pouts at his behaviour

Chotu laughs and pats his back. Shree tries to cheer them up and he somewhat becomes successful.
Walking towards Ayesha he grabs her hand and dances. Ayesha also sees him making efforts, hence she joins in too. After the dance she pulls his cheek and smiles.

Liza looks at him trying to make them feel better. So she walks up to him and tries to remove his specks. At first he resists but later he gives in. She removes his specks cleans it and makes him wear it again. All look at Liza in confusion including SamJun who are observing this from their cabin. She then points at a mirrored door and asks Shree to take a gaze.

She then gestures him that he looks like a clown. SamJun let out a chuckle. Shree angrily looks at her first and turns his head in opposite direction. Sakshi looks at his antics and ruffles his hair.

Chotu suddenly stops responding and Shree looks at that. By now Shree also gets drained by trying to make everyone happy. It gets very difficult for him too. Sameer notices Shree has so drained and he comes out of his cabin to continue what Shree was doing.

He walks up to Chotu and taps on his shoulder. Chotu turns and finds Sameer standing behind.
Sameer holds him by his shoulder "Relax Chotu dheere dheere sab theek hoga. Don't worry." He then looks at everyone "Aur tab tak main aur Arjun hai na yahaan tum sab ke liye."
They all smile as they realise how they have all become a family. They all look at each other and Shree just gives them "see I told you" look. They smile and nod their head sarcastically.

Seeing Sam outside Arjun also comes out to cheer them up. At first he felt it would look weird as he previously never bothered. But now seeing his team in pain makes him suffer too. Ak at Arjun as he comes out. Sameer has a smile on his face as Arjun has broke the wall which he had built around him.

"Kya? Aise kyun dekh rahe ho?" Arjun asks sternly.
"Kuch nahi bas aise hi. Tum bahar aaye na issiliye." Sakshi replies. He looks at her and rolls his eyes. "Haww" Sakshi's mouth widens.
"Waise ho kya raha hai?" Arjun asks. "Jaise tu jaanta nahi. Hai na?" Sameer sarcastically replies. Arjun glares at him and he shakes his head in disbelief.
"Kuch khaaoge tum log?" Arjun asks as he is very bad at comforting with words. His actions speak for him. Juniors also know it very well so they nod in a yes.
"Ice cream!" Sakshi and Liza voice out together.
Haske to dekh tu ek baar
Khudh hi aa jayegi phir bahaar

Geet ek naya gaa
Aaya naya mausam

Arjun nods his head and orders for ice cream. All smile and continue talking.
"Waise Arjun tumhe bhukaar hai kya?" Sakshi slowly asks. Arjun looks at her amused.
"Kya bolna chahti ho?" Arjun asks.

"Nahi woh ice cream hum logon ke liye. Good Very Good." Sakshi answers and the rest just close their eyes and rub their forehead temple.
"Thank you" Arjun sarcastically says.
"Your welcome Arjun." Sakshi replies and Ayesha just pats her shoulder to stop her. Arjun just shakes his head in disbelief

"Khush rehne ki koshish karo. Chehre pe hasi tum logon ko suit karti hai." Arjun states as he looks at them.
Sameer raises his eyebrows in amusement "Baat toh sahi ki hai Arjun ne."
"Yes sir/ Sameer-Arjun." Juniors reply with a smile.
After 15 minutes ice cream arrives too. They move to the pantry and open the packets. Liza goes to call SamJun and they too come with her.
They all sit and have ice cream when Sameer gets a call. He excuses himself and picks up the call. "Ji hum aate hai." He cuts the call and walks upto the rest. "We have a case guys." Sameer states and all hurriedly eat their ice cream.
"Aaraam se laash bhaagne nahi waali." Arjun says as they would get brain freeze if they would eat in a hurry.
"Lekin evidence contaminate ho jaayegi na sir." Liza replies. Sameer and Arjun give her a look. "Crime Scene sealed hai Liza chinta mat karo."
They all finish their ice cream and drive to the crime scene in 2 SUV's. Liza had already called for an Ambulance and it was already present when they arrived.

Actually they were not closed in a dark room. But the torture in daylight was also such that they just tremble by the thought of being caged. 😭
