There shouldn’t be any difference anyway. They all should be treated equally n not have soaps be looked down upon as an sign of you not being good enough for a bigger drama. Although I would hope soap quality rises to the level of dramas n not the other way around.

Of course there should be a difference otherwise they wouldnt be called soaps in the first place. Both aim at different audiences and soaps run for a longer time like ITV shows whereas dramas are more like mini series

I guess my point is that they should be valued the same. Their content n audience can be different but they should be still treated with equal respect. Having bigger actors part take in these soaps goes a long way to making that happen.

I disagree with that😆 soaps are low in quality compared to dramas because their stories are more dragged like star plus shows...so they mostly keep B grade actors who are more affordable for longer period of time. I prefer good actors sticking with dramas of higher standards and better stories.

But why should they stay low quality? For a tv channel it is better for everyone of their shows to improve in quality so they get more viewership. I mean ary clearly doesn’t have an issue in affording bigger actors for soaps. Zahid for faryad n now madiha n muneeb. A lot of these dramas do get audiences. If you can get more you should. I can understand from a lower level actor perspective it hurts their chances of breaking out but a channel needs to look out for itself.
