The above links clearly shows we are bothered for nothing.not even one winner made big till date. Revanth is big in south but he is popular before coming to Indian idol. All these winners would have lot of popularity while the show is going on. After that no one cares. So let's not too bogged down by who is best who is not. Every fan think their favorite is best but future will decide how best they are when they stand on their own.

Has Salman been the most successful till now? Its only the aluminis of Idol 10 who I see everywhere.

Exactly my thoughts. He ruined 2 favourite iconic songs of mine. I cringed during those screeching high notes. Chahunga is such a soft romantic number, where was the need for this?? And zohra jabeen number too has the soft yet naughty feel which he wreaked totally. Though Danish is talented, he was never my favourite for this reason.

Talking of MBDs - Danish gets it for this, and not Arunita??? 😳

That's because of the time gap and the flop Idol 9.
The last big Idol show (Idol 5) was in 2010/11 which had Sreerama Chandra Mynampati, Bhoomi Trivedi etc. They are now considered senior artists. Idol 6 (2012) was a washout with only Poorvi Koutish making a name for herself in later years. The next hit Idol show was in 2018, Idol 10. So the gap is large - 7-8 years and fans (for the older seasons) are few on forums like this.

I don't see anyone being big in real industry both in regional or Bollywood ir as a independent musician except Revanth who sang a super hit in bahubali. Revanth also only regional and he is popular before coming to Indianidol as well. Others had a one or two song max but not single big number to my knowledge. I may be wrong eventhough I like looking at this stuff at my free time iam not good at following things.

to the best of my knowledge, these are the most successful idol playback singers who made it past the Theatre Round. (in order of season)
Neha Kakkar, Antara Mitra, Monali Thakur, Sreerama Chandra, Bhoomi Trivedi, Swaroop Khan, Poorvi Koutish

It may be all planned. Makers are trying to generate votes for strugglers. Happened in earlier idols too. Clear front-runners are given less importance once they get into a strong position.
Will change soon once the cutoff is made. Then even poor performances will get everything!

Exactly my peev. Was listening again to her songs. Lag jaa & Jane kya baat. It’s so beautifully rendered. Pure melody, no gimmicks.
Some may call her copy cat - but for me, achieving this level of perfection is tougher than resorting to vocal gimmicks & screeching.
That’s also the reason why I liked Pawan’s Chunar song over Danish’s. Danish, started well, but , as usual screeched midway & spoiled it for me.
yesterday apart from Aru -pawan, Ashish Sayli duet was also good, with Sayli scoring easily over Ashish.

As of now, it is Arunita, Sayli, & Pawan for me.
Nihal has improved.

I don't understand why people have problems with improvisation. It's a talent show not a show to find another Rafi ji or Latha ji. General public may choose singers who can sing songs as it is but for cutting the edge in industry they need to have extraordinary talent atleast in one area which force music director to choose you over others. I don't see any problem with Danish improvisations it shows his talent and courage to try something others won't dare.
