Some may call her copy cat - but for me, achieving this level of perfection is tougher than resorting to vocal gimmicks & screeching.
That’s also the reason why I liked Pawan’s Chunar song over Danish’s. Danish, started well, but , as usual screeched midway & spoiled it for me.
yesterday apart from Aru -pawan, Ashish Sayli duet was also good, with Sayli scoring easily over Ashish.

As of now, it is Arunita, Sayli, & Pawan for me.
Nihal has improved.

Every thing you said, I 100 percent agree. The best performances yesterday were all the duets by Arunita, pawan, saili and aashish

Arunita and Saili singing lata and asha songs so well in itself is an achievement. Danish to me is insecure, since he needs to alaap in every performance to feel competent and himesh, a professional screamer always encouraged him. Nihal has improved very much and I find him more consistent lately

Bold: I hope you understand how difficult to do those what you think as gimmicks or screetching. You need lot of voice control and training to do that. It's not up to everyone. Iam not undermining Arunitha or Pawandeep but until and unless they show they can do something on their own other than singing as it is I don't consider them as more talented than others. They have best voice iam not denying it but iam yet to see their mark on any of their song.

I think you are getting carried away. Do we have the skills to judge what creativeness is being brought in? It is only when Anu Malik mentions that Arunita's inclusion of the extra piece in Moh Moh Ke Dhage showed how she would sing the song is when we realize that the artist is being creative. Let me say this, it is routine to be creative to avoid singing difficult parts. How do we not know that that is not the case with so called creative singers?
Do listen to Arunita's songs and compare with originals. many alaps she takes are not included in the original and reflect the raga she is executing.

I agree about Danish's unnecessary alaaps, which now make me think of someone in a dentist's chair, mouth wide open for the longest time. Haven't watched Sat-Sun epis yet, but whoever said Chahunga main is a soft, romantic song, no it's not. It's a song to a friend, from the movie Dosti, more a cry of angst than soft. And Zohrajabeen is kinda meant to be peppy.

No yaar. Iam not carried away. Iam irritated with people trying to prove others bad by showing Pawandeep and Arunitha as example. Every one have their view. I don't think Danish left any difficult parts he just added some additional bits to show his talent. Iam not his fan still I don't find him less talented than anyone. Coming to Arunitha to my knowledge she tries to be creative very rarely and most of her songs are as good as original because I listen all her songs as well as original too. I don't think its wrong it's her choice but that doesn't prove others are being creative to avoid difficult bits.

For Danish part- i think nobody says he is a bad singer. I find him confident and versatile. His stage presence is really good.

Adding extra bit is absolutely okay but what's the point if people are not liking it and can't even bear it. People are finding that aalap unbearable and unnecessary at that place. Afterall this should not happen right? If people are skipping that part then kya fayda. Even contestants are expecting audiance to love their performances.

And it has nothing to do with Arunita or Pawandeep.

Revanth also only regional and he is popular before coming to Indianidol as well. Others had a one or two song max but not single big number to my knowledge. Afaik Neha has been the most popular alumini...Bhoomi and Monali are great singers but didn't get their due imo.

The last big Idol show (Idol 5) was in 2010/11 which had Sreerama Chandra Mynampati, Bhoomi Trivedi etc. They are now considered senior artists. Idol 6 (2012) was a washout with only Poorvi Koutish making a name for herself in later years. The next hit Idol show was in 2018, Idol 10. So the gap is large - 7-8 years and fans (for the older seasons) are few on forums like this.

Out of all the aluminis haven't Bhoomi and Monali been the only two who everyone knows by name and song? Even tho they didn't get the kind of work they should've got esp Monali.

But most contestants and winners have disappeared. I looked all of them up sometime ago and couldn't mind much except for a few. I had even expected that Abhijit Savant and Amit Sana would become hugely popular...they are nowhere now and do YouTube. Same from Fame Gurukul's Qazi and Rooprekha.

Antara Mitra of "Gerua" fame has many duet hits and is considered an established singer. Check her wiki data. Sreeram Chandra has a few hits too and is highly regarded.
