The very fact that Vishal mentioned they were underdogs is unnatural. The eliminated contestants were not done that disfavour. It stinks scripted. But the public adulation of Arunita was unexpected I think. It upset some plans and scripts. Now they seem unable to manage the consequences and are resorting to Public Voting etc. As I have said before every Idol show needs an excellent Lata singer till the end. They even got Ankona in to fill the gap last year.
Anushka or Shireesha were not it. So it had to be Sayli/Arunita. Now the script has got muddled with 2 who can do the job when they need one! Tough call for them. they don't want to take it.

Just out of curiosity among the contestants who may have more pan India followers? Irrespective of who reach top5 the one with more reach can only win I guess at this point it looks to be Pawandeep. Not sure about others.

Pan India Arunita for sure. Hill block almost entirely Pawan. Block votes are not for performance but for allegiance.
You need to read comments on SM to see the reach of each. Arunita has indifferent home support. If she leads, she leads with pan India votes. Even SMP has loyal local votes though I doubt if it is sizeable. Places outside the Hindi belt have greater attachment to vernacular TV shows.

I was just seeing IG views of all promos this week. I doubt Nihal may become dark horse. Nihal-SMP duet as well as his solo both have very good views compared to others like Ashish,Sayali,Anjali. Slowly he gained fan base looks like. Not sure how it turns in voting. Will be interesting to see who will come into top5.
