Sandeep Reddy Vanga has unveiled the first look poster of his upcoming film Spirit, setting the tone for a gritty cop action drama. The poster was released at New Year midnight, echoing the strategy used for Animal, whose announcement also arrived at the same hour. With this move, the director signals continuity in style and timing.

The poster features Prabhas and Triptii Dimri in a stark, unsettling frame. Prabhas is seen with his back turned, injured and wrapped in stitched bandages. Triptii stands close, calmly lighting his cigarette. The image relies more on mood than spectacle, hinting at emotional conflict and violence beneath the surface.

Prabhas appears in a rugged avatar, sporting long hair, a thick beard, and a heavy moustache. He holds a glass of alcohol in one hand, while the other rests near his waist. Triptii keeps her look understated, dressed in a muted grey saree, her expression controlled and unreadable.

Sharing the poster, Vanga wrote, "INDIAN CINEMA.... witness your AJANUBAHUDU / AJANUBAHU Happy New Year 2026 #SpiritFirstLook." The film’s official handle added, "You loved what existed before. Now fall in love with what you never knew existed…. #SPIRIT FIRST POSTER #OneBadHabit #Prabhas @imvangasandeep @tripti_dimri23."

Spirit marks the first collaboration between Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga. It is also the first time Prabhas will be seen playing a cop on screen. Industry chatter suggests Triptii Dimri may be portraying a doctor, though the makers have not confirmed her character details yet.

The cast also includes Vivek Oberoi, Prakash Raj, and Kanchana in key roles. Prakash Raj is expected to play a Superintendent of Police, while Prabhas is rumoured to be an ex IPS officer who is removed from service for reasons not yet revealed.

The announcement video was released earlier on Prabhas’ 46th birthday, mirroring the rollout pattern used for Ranbir Kapoor during Animal. Spirit is aiming for a wide theatrical release in 2026, with expectations riding high after the response to its first look.

With its restrained reveal, the film positions itself as intense and character driven, focusing on flawed authority, obsession, and moral collapse rather than conventional heroism, a theme familiar to the director’s earlier work.
