Hi. I don’t understand the voting format. In earlier idol everyone performs one weekend voting takes place and following week elimination on Saturday. Then when fewer contestants performance and voting on sat Sunday elimination. How is it now? Tks

Voting happens in alternate weeks... For eg. Last week was voting week and on the basis of last week's voting elimination will take place this Sunday and there's no voting for this week's performances

Similarly next week is a voting week

This week judges will give marks to the contestants

Re: Arunita and Nihal, today wasn’t their day and it showed in ARR’s feedback.

Won’t rlly blame Arunita because the song choices didn’t suit her tone. She has a sharper, piercing quality to her voice which is why imo she suits Lata/Alka songs the best compared to Chitra and Shreya who have a softer edge.. I also think Sireesha’s sargams sounded better.

Was getting annoyed by her fans in YT commenting that she sang these better than Chitra and Hariharan. I think she’s the best out of this bunch but don’t be ridiculous.

Similarly, having grown up listening to Roja on repeat I didn’t think Nihal even came close to matching the beauty with which SPB/Hariji sang the originals. Could’ve opted for an Arijit track instead I guess. He has definitely improved over the competition tho.

Didn’t think much of Ashish’s singing today as well, though he is a born stage performer.

I am not at all a Danish or SMP fan (in fact they are my least favorites), but both were good today.

The process should be reversed. Judges should give their scores before knowing the voting result. So scores should be given in voting week, not in the elimination week.

I missed nearly half of the show. Started to watch when Neha called all the contestants on stage (and included Pawandeep's name) and gave MBD to all 9 contestants. even some had not performed.

Now that was nice gesture and thank god only one MBD and that to all of them.

Found Neha and one of the contestant over the top with their excitement.

Now Neha we know you remember every lyrics of all the songs but do you also have to lip sync along and do your nakhras???

After Ashish performance, HR admitted that until then he did not think Ashish would last that long or something to that effect but now he had chances to be in finale or winner???!!!!! please correct me.

Danish & Sawai together were good in Kun Faaya Run.

No tribute performance at the end??

Show was nearly 2 hours yet understand not all sang?? Not fair. If they had cut down on performances of those who sang 3 or 4 songs or more, then all could have sung. Doing this in lots of guests special episodes.

Last night only 8 contestants present so each contestants could have sung 2 songs which let’s say each song no longer than 4 minutes, still would have left time for other extra bits

A group performance of ARR's song would be a better tribute to the legend.

Ya I thought it was weird. A tribute would have been appropriate, then all contestants would have had chance to sing for him.

I felt judges, rithvik and some contestants were over excited and if he had asked to them to lick his feet, they would have done so. No offence, my opinion. I’ve seen more famous people than him coming in shows or live concerts but nobody behaves like what they all behaved last night.

There is a big flaw in the elimination process. Votes are counted first and scores are given after knowing the voting position. Now judges can through anyone in bottom three with a motivated attempt to eliminate any specific contestant. They need to just put any other two in bottom three who received higher vote than the targeted contestant for elimination.

It is all fixed and rigged, there is no transparency and judges are a part of the fixing.

Pawandeep he proved again why he is one of the best contestants on the show...i could see how unwell he is but he sang so so beautifully..i loved his performance.... And i completely agree with HR about those two songs which are masterpiece.

I liked Anjali's performance also after long time

Ashish and Arunita - they again edited 2nd song from their performance which is tujhko pukare mere geet re 😠 .. Also Vishal's comments which they shown in promo
