I think arunita gets big plus point in all her performance because of her simplicity and respecting the original song. No unnecessary aalaps etc

* SMP’s close-ups competed with Kakkar throughout the episode!

* Still trying to get over the fact that Kakkar was sharing stage with ARR that too in the judges’ seat! Kya zamana aa gaya! Jeeju ki jai ho!

On a side note....

Arunita’s dress & accessories were lovely.
How many felt that Ehaan looks like Hrithik Roshan? And that was the fakest tears ever seen on TV! Hope he has acted better in the movie, for ARR’s sake! 😁

And for heaven’s sake Sony, pl pl stop these gigs on Ashish’s sweat! It is so yuck, & most definitely not funny! 😡

Honestly, someone needs to tell Danish to stop unnecessary alaaps and show off. The alaaps are not even pleasant

Nihal-I actually feel that this was one of the strongest performances of the night. Roja is a very tough song and I feel Nihal actually did a good job with it. I kind of hope he stays this week.

Arunita-I understand that many feel that this wasn't one of her strongest performances but she still did a damn good job. Tu hi re is a very tough song and I really think Arunita delivered. Kehna hi kya on the other hand wasn't as good. I much prefer Sireesha's version to Arunita's but I still feel Arunita did a good enough job with that song.

Danish-Look we get it Danish you are extremely talented and will likely finish in the top 3 come finale time. However I am getting sick and tired of hearing Chaiyya Chaiyya all the time. This performance was overcooked and kind of all over the place.

SMP-Look I am gonna admit right off the bat I am not an SMP fan. I feel the only good thing about this performance was the classical raag she started the performance with. Otherwise I feel Ashish's version of both her songs was simply better. It was a typical SMP performance. Shouting and over the top yodeling with Neha Kakkar screaming the second she breathes into the microphone. It's pretty evident she is judge's and channel favorite and would be the winner according to them. Hopefully the audience doesn't feel that way. Again I apologize in advance to SMP fans.

Ashish-Speaking of judge's favorite....Same thing here with SMP. I much prefer Vaishnav's version of both of these songs to Ashish's. Only reason Ashish has gotten this far is because he started off the season very well. He honestly should have been gone before Nachiket, Anushka, and Sireesha. He was actually my least favorite performance today.

Danish and Sawai-Best part of this performance was that it was a song that hadn't been done to death in Indian Idol the last 3 seasons. Sawai is still very much a one dimensional singer who is only this far in the compettition because of his monetary status but he did decent today. Danish also did good.

Overall I was disappointed as AR Rahman has so many classic songs and Indian Idol recycles the same songs over and over again. If a song is sung it shouldn't be sung again that season for Pete's sake.

Elimination wise I am hoping for Anjali to finally get eliminated tomorrow especially if the audience is deciding. I think Nihal did enough to merit staying another two weeks. He and Arunita were the two best today.

I missed nearly half of the show. Started to watch when Neha called all the contestants on stage (and included Pawandeep's name) and gave MBD to all 9 contestants. even some had not performed.

Now that was nice gesture and thank god only one MBD and that to all of them.

Found Neha and one of the contestant over the top with their excitement.

Now Neha we know you remember every lyrics of all the songs but do you also have to lip sync along and do your nakhras???

After Ashish performance, HR admitted that until then he did not think Ashish would last that long or something to that effect but now he had chances to be in finale or winner???!!!!! please correct me.

Danish & Sawai together were good in Kun Faaya Run.

No tribute performance at the end??

Show was nearly 2 hours yet understand not all sang?? Not fair. If they had cut down on performances of those who sang 3 or 4 songs or more, then all could have sung. Doing this in lots of guests special episodes.

Last night only 8 contestants present so each contestants could have sung 2 songs which let’s say each song no longer than 4 minutes, still would have left time for other extra bits

SMP is extreme level overrated. All the songs she adds yodeling and change to a song doesn't mean its good. She sings less and yodels more. All that swag is just overconfidence.

Arunita was too good and I feel she is underrated. She is a consistent performer and able to be in Indian Idol finalists. Add Pawandeep to that list.

All others are up and down.

Hi. I don’t understand the voting format. In earlier idol everyone performs one weekend voting takes place and following week elimination on Saturday. Then when fewer contestants performance and voting on sat Sunday elimination. How is it now? Tks
