It took half a week, but I actually did end up watching the Anandji special, seeing how much everyone liked it. And I'm so glad I watched it. It turned out to be better than the ARR special even. Anandji really is adorable, and so was his wife!

My favorites were Sayli, Anjali, and Pawandeep. Anjali and Pawandeep moreso because of their song choices (and the fact that Pawan was singing so well while COVID positive. Hats off man 👏🏻)

From the duets, I liked Nihal and Sayli together (again, song selection was good). Arunita was good too, but Ashish weighed the performance down. He was better with Danish. "Aapka kya hoga janabe ali" suited him better than "Wada Karle Saajna." As @Ashley.Tisdale said, that song was made for Nachiket.

I loved Anandji’s advice to Sayli. You could actually hear the difference once she softened her voice. Although, the advice to sing softer applies to many singers on the show, IMO. 😜😂

Also, Anandji’s point about how music has lost melody today was so on point. And the fact that singers like Neha and Dhvani were sitting there was a perfect example of juxtaposition, if you ask me. 😅

True! Also Sireesha’s Kehna Hi Kya was the first time I’ve seen a female contestant attempt the sargams herself, in previous performances I’ve only ever heard male backing vocalists covering that portion. She deserves credit for that innovativeness + pulling it off so perfectly 👏

Some of them were 1st time meeting rehman wherein for sireesha wasn't for the 1st time....her previous show where rehman came as a guest she was equally excited as these contestants.... so better not compare

The first time she met him she was very calm actually but I also agree with your point to not compare reactions as each one’s way of expressing emotions is different. For those interested, she posted her first time singing in front of him on IG a few days back.

Just a short note. Singing live I. Front of Rehman is very different from playback singing or recording. Give kudos to all contestants who performed 👍🏼

Anandji's episode really takes the cake. The best episode in the past three seasons.

Btw did u know that Laxmikant-Pyarelal used to assist Kalyanji-Anandji?

Nachiket was truly missed, wasn't he. Those soft romantic numbers really suited him. Hate what the channel did to him, he was the most promising contestant, esp after the Anthony Gonzalvez performance he became a threat to the judge favourites.

No contestant will sing softly on the show lol, even though I wish that happens 😆 The judges prefer loudness!

@bold: I laughed and clapped so hard, Anandji bhai was such a savage there. That was truly deserved though, it was super insulting to him when they brought Dhvani on the show, it pissed off my parents too...and don't get me started on her sur and voice...our Idol's Jannabi and Avanti are so much better than her!

So very true 👏 He was there to promote himself & his movie. No constructive feedback on any contestant's singing. Wasn't impressed with him at all. Arunita, Nihal, Aashish, Saili all sang well but one contestant .

I bet you 10,000% the dumb producers told him not to give any feedback. 😡

LOL no one can tell ARR what to do or not to. He is the type. call him introvert or quiet. he was there to promote himself-movie period 😊
