Bigg Boss 20: Kushal Tanwar aka Gullu among names reportedly confirmed for the upcoming season

Reality television personality Kushal Tanwar, popularly known as Gullu, is reportedly among the contestants expected to enter Bigg Boss 20. While the makers have not officially confirmed his participation, reports about his entry have been doing the rounds ahead of the premiere.

Gullu has built a strong presence in youth reality television. He recently emerged as the winner of MTV Splitsvilla X6, also known as Splitsvilla 16, and MTV Roadies XX. He had earlier won Zee TV’s Maa Hai Na, adding another reality show victory to his record.

His reported entry into Bigg Boss could also bring familiar faces into the same house. Names such as Ruru Thakur and Kaira have been linked to the upcoming season, although the makers are yet to announce the final contestant list.

If Gullu does enter the show, his experience in competitive reality formats could be tested in a very different setting. Bigg Boss requires contestants to live together under constant cameras, manage personal equations and deal with nominations, tasks and shifting alliances.

His previous reality show appearances have given viewers an idea of how he handles competition and interpersonal situations. However, the Bigg Boss format presents a different challenge, where relationships inside the house can influence the game as much as performance in tasks.

Bigg Boss 20 is scheduled to premiere on September 6, 2026. The season is expected to follow a digital first approach, with episodes streaming on JioHotstar at 9 pm before the television broadcast on Colors TV at 10:30 pm.

Salman Khan is set to return as the host for the twentieth season. Recent teasers have included references to Karan-Arjun, leading to speculation about a possible twist involving the hosting format or contestant pairings.

The season carries the theme “Tathas-two!” and will reportedly introduce an “Extra Jeevan Daan” mechanism, giving contestants another opportunity to remain in the competition.

Apart from Gullu and Ruru Thakur, several names have been linked to the season, including Mr. Faisu, Anjali Arora, Nia Sharma and Arjun Bijlani. However, these reports remain unconfirmed until the official launch.
