The two-faced guilt trap

I was quite enjoying the epi in the first half seeing Adi bluntly pointing out what AC really is in front of his own family and then not giving a damn for AC ke faltu games even at her house.

But then came the last scene and our resident black hole - "Saint" Malini didi managed to suck all joy and life out of an otherwise decent episode.

So much as I don't want to, today's thread will be focused on my immense disgust with her character today. Oh the many ways Didi lies brazenly and then plays coy victim....let me count but just a few:

1) Thinking to herself why Adi is telling her in front of everyone that he thinks her mom isn't worthy of respect😆.....oh WOW, Didi...is this YOU, the lady who literally had a 3 day public meltdown in her sasural over your husband not calling you talking about how HE is the one who creates "public spectacles"? Wow *slow claps*

2) When Adi refuses to get up from the floor in the kitchen and insists he will eat there - Didi pulls out Martyr card#1 of the day - aap yahaan baith ke khaayiye aur main khaaungi unke saath jo meri care karte hain.....lol oh now suddenly it's about Didi ka ego? But I was told she is saintly and samajhdaar....toh phir aise kaise? Do minute mein chhod ke chali gayi jab disagreement hua😆.....but ofcourse not before managing to slide in a taunt to Imlie about how Adi now suddenly cares for her only cuz she saved his life and doesn't seem to listen to Malini anymore.....lol such Didi prem, much wow.....meri aakhein bhar aayi

3) Didi flipped again and decided she wants to suddenly confront Adi in her Mom's house about what's changed between them.....and boy did she roll out all the big guns in her guilt trip pitaara....."I miss us"😆.....Wait....wasn't she basically telling him to eff off like an hour back when she stormed away to eat with her family at the dining table and didn't care if he kept sitting there on the floor?😆....oh I'm sorry I didn't realize I wasn't supposed to remember that. Where were we....oh yes, back to Didi ki mahaanta as she lists out how much she's missing Adi and how she's noticed everything about how he's stopped calling her "Moon".....ROFL and that was it for Adi.....suddenly saari hekdi nikal gayi iski and he came to heel😆....fumbling ki nahin aisa kuch nahin hai.....and Didi pressed her advantage to move into full on clingy hug.....lol....I just can't with the duplicity of this lady. I honestly wouldn't have minded a Malini genuinely making an effort to talk things through with Adi....but the level to which they are showing her double-faced antics, the oh so subtle manipulations....and even after all this, we are shown Adi thinking her to be some kind of Saint in his head......what to say.

4) I wish that had been the end of it but Didi saved her final and lowest blows for the girl who actually considered her a sister.....while Didi showed today that she had been play-acting all this while.....the way she treated Imlie in that last scene had nothing "sisterly" about it.....it was a mistress talking to a servant....showing her her "place" while staking a claim on her own marriage and husband.....a sister wouldn't treat a sister the way Malini treated Imlie in that last scene.....still unable to understand till the very end that her mom is making Imlie run errands. And Aditya babu, your token one-liner for why Imlie does what she does really didn't cut it for this scene, sorry.....you watched it all happen with a majboor face just standing there as you allowed Malini to "other-ize" Imlie.

I'm not sure how they transition from this scene to the precap....what exactly can Adi say to make up for what Imlie had to see and face today? He himself couldn't manage to say anything to Malini when she laid on the "Moon" guilt trap....and he wants us to buy ki aage he will manage to hurt Malini one time by telling her the truth? lol this will need to be a monumentally great scene to make up for the horrible aftertaste of today's epi.....and I don't have high hopes right now.

But then reality strikes and how! Imlie and Aditya had to deal with knowing how it is going to be to live with unresolved issues amidst them I.e. living with Malini who is also Aditya’s wife. The bubble they were sort of in for two days came crashing down after the hug and the exchange that followed. But they both need to witness these things in order to get things right which is far far away. This is just the beginning.

I cannot even begin to express my disgust at Malini. She does not know Imlie is Aditya’s wife and despite that treats her like she is human scum. Absolutely no regard yet for the fact that her husband is alive today because Imlie reached with the police in time. I am so done; no good words to use anymore.

Malini has come full circle starting with her I need you 'Aditya' when he was leaving for PD, making it all about her wanting him, needing him, how mahaan she was by being the sacrificial lamb all these years, putting up with Adi putting his work before her. The one she asked him, he ignored her and left. That was a big EGO hurt right there and she took her revenge on that by shedding copious tears and making the T's miserable. She is anu's daughter after all and the fruit does not fall far from the tree.

I was enjoying the T's betting today in the opener scene on how soon anu will start her drama.. 🤣 A big hug for BK, who after scolding Nishu politely, went and gave his 200 bucks.. 20 minutes of shaanthi as there is a puja at the house.. 😆 😆

In walks the couple, Adi very standoffish, hands in his kurta ka pockets.. does not even reach out to take the gift to Mrs C. Look at Malini's expectations here, bade aaram se liya and basshan bhi diya. This woman if given a choice will have no qualms in taking Adi (not that he would) and move out just as her mom wanted in the first place. No token enquiry too, if they would come for the puja, if they could.. lol maan liya.. bus..

The hypocrisy was on full display.. she thinks Adi is still upset with her mom bcoz of what happened with Imlie earlier and when he came to bring her home.. thinking he could have addressed it privately. Since when did you even think of that? Did you not air your laundry in public ?

The kitchen scene was another example.. did not even think to call Imlie and say join us for token, or Adi too. A dig at Imlie for explaining things to Adi as he does not listen to her anymore, ever since she saved his life.. he has more concern for her than for his own wife. Imlie caught in a bind and what can she do. Tries to pacify Adi, to no avail.

Dev - is he for real?? He n his mom are clueless to Anu's antics.. really they cant see what is happening under their very nose? Still staying silent.. bus enough..

Then Didi dragging Adi off to have a convo.. why she could not talk to him back at home, as soon as she came here, she decides to have an open convo with Adi.. I miss US, you dont call me Mun anymore, when was the last time you thought of me.. yada yada..yada.. making Adi feel guilty.. awww my moon is so honest, so fair, so nice and i cant bear to hurt her..

Then the tears and the hug.. what a HUG it was.. she was clinging, stuck like a leech, sucking the life out of Adi.. phew... ! The level of manipulation and emotional atyachaar.. baap re baap..

In walks Imlie with lassi and gets an earful from her didi.. she is now just a servant.. admonishes her, knock before you enter, even at home.. now leave... Adi is silent.. and crying.. sasur and damaad taken to the cleaners by the women.

precap - all flowers n ghamla etc.. we will see what Imlie says.. sure there will be more drama before the leave the C's.

I don't think it's a bubble for Imlie in so much as it's a bubble for Adi. He's the one who insisted more on bringing Imlie back to the house.....for what? To see her being treated like this by Malini? And uske baad bhi he's calling MALINI the "shaant, samajhdaar" one? Like WOW😆......Looks like he's back to his bipolar mode where nothing makes sense from one scene to the next.

I still CANNOT get over the fact that Malini has not thanked Imlie. For saving her damn husband’s life! I just cannot......

Sahi main yaar last 3 din ka mazaa kid kida kardiya. I didn’t like today’s episode at all. Malini looked so mean today.

But whatever rejection she is going to serve Aditya with tomorrow has been a long time coming. He can then go ahead and cohabit with his shaant and samajhdhaar saathi. Oh, the weasel that he was today because of his guilt!

LOL tum THANKS expect karti reh gayi and Malini literally treated the girl who saved her husband's life like a SERVANT.....usko TAUNT maar gayi ki since you saved his life, he only listens to you now😆

But hey, galti humari hi hai ki hum Didi ki greatness nahin samajh paa rahe....bas Babusahib ko samajh aati hai *slow claps*😆.....SHAANT he called her....SHAANT....after ALL THIS😆....I can't get over THAT.
