At the guesthouse mami is urging Lajwanti to come to the sangeet, but Lajwanti seems hesistant and says she doens't want to go. Even after being urged from her mami she says she wishes not to go. The mama comes and asks what is going on between mami and neice. They discuss about going to sangeet, and the mami says she will go, and take gifts for the samdhis. She'll make preparations that even they will be impressed. Jaswant tells Lajwanti that her mami is very big hearted and spirited, and they are lcky to have her support.
Liza picks a modern dress and asks Abhay how it is. Abhay says it is really beautiful and the family will like it too. Abhay says he will call mom and let her know.
At home Rekha picks up the phone, and excuses herself saying it is someone from the club. Abahay wants to speak to his mom, but Rekha says that his mom is really busy in the preparations. She says that he shouldn't worry. The entire family is making sure that all the preparations is going well, as many people are coming. Rekha thinks to herself that there are only two guests she is concerned about, Abhay and Liza.
Uday is contemplative and missing Abhay. Banwari comes and asks him how come he isn't ready yet. Uday shruggs it off, but Banwari says he knows that he and Abhay are close. He tells him not to worry as everything will be fine soon.
In the evening the sangeet is just started, and the guests are arriving. Ranbir's father asks him to check how far Jaswant and his family have gotten. He calls and and Jaswant says that they will be arriving soon.
Rekha overhears the conversation and thinks to herself, that Ranbir is waiting for her guests and she for hers.
Rama asks Banwari where is Uday, and how come he isn't down yet. Uday is in his room still thinking about the wedding. He gets ready, and comes down.
Lajwanti's family also arrive, and Rekha introduces herself, as the mother in law. The mami isn't impressed and makes a crack about it to her husband. Rekha questions if everything is alright. Mami says that everything is fine. She meets Uday, and teases him. Ranbir says to Uday not to worry as they are his in-laws they are teasing him.
Ranbir says that the guests are all here, and they should start the sangeet. Rekha tells him to make sure that all his VIP village folks are here. Ranbir reigns his anger.
The signing is going on and Abhay and Liza arrive. Everyone in the family is shocked. Rekha is happy.
