Star plus categorizes the show under Romance first and then drama.. To me this show has looked more like a drama that would happen in Gopi Bahu's house on a daily basis. The core of the whole house standing and fighting would be so stupid that logical people like us would wind it extremely unbelievable. Only difference being here we have atleast the answer back session by the assaulted. This show is basically working for two reasons Sai's and Virat's(Virat no 2) characterization and the chemistry between the leads. Though the other actors, except Pakhi are also brilliant in their portrayal.

By chemistry between the leads I dont insinuate the physical chemistry, they have more of a emotional chemistry as of now. The makers are yet extremely far away to establish a physical chemistry. Usually in romantic shows, even if leads are not in love, the sexual tension is established. We have not seen that yet, understanding the nature of the characters. And as of now the emotional chemistry is enough to keep me as an audience hooked. I dont believe myself when I say, the last four days I have been totally involved with Sairat, keeping aside my work. But then today's episode kind of made me realize, I need to keep a check on my indulgence in the show.

Going back to the USPs of the show , I dont really know how are the makers going to present Sairat's relationship in future. This week gave a glimmer of hope that they might explore it, but then I am not sure. Some scenes made me question their lack of exploration. I mean the apology could have been a bit more intimate physically, like atleast holding the cheeks if not a hug. I understand Sairat have to walk a lot together to reach a stage where an apology would be followed by a hug. Again in the next scene when Sai was feeling a bit dizzy , they could have shown him picking her up, ITV grabs such opportunities to attract the audience. But the makers of this show did not. And yet again in the tyre burst scene Sai could have leapt closer to Virat ..like the other day she leapt onto him after seeing a lizard. I did like the hand holding scene , mostly because of their expressions, but then a bit closer bodily would have enhanced the portrayal of a shy and hesitant attraction from Sai's side. So missed opportunities like these kind of remind me to not be very hopeful about the romance part.

Leads dont get repeated mostly on ITV. So this could be a loss for both makers and viewers if this chemistry is not really worked on.

true, the chemistry between sairat and sai’s characterisation is what hooked me to the show, i almost fast forward other scenes. i think this is the first time on itv, that without even a proper hug between the leads in 100 odd episodes, i can actually see their sizzling chemistry. it will be loss to us viewers if the cv’s do not explore this chemistry. not in every daily soap we get to see such chemistry between leads.

I differ here since I can’t compare Chavan drama with that of other shows. While other shows were loud and in the face, this show did look different because of clear cut characterisation Of members of Chavan family. Be it Sonali,Omkar,Ninad,Aswini,Shivani every one has their own identity. Mohit is a revelation and Devayani is heartwarming. I find the story on the whole interesting and different from other saas bahu sagas Of ITV.

Ofcourse Pakhi as a charecter stands out again different from kumolikas Of ITV,though not portrayed well on screen by the actress.

Coming to Sai and Virat, they make the show what it is today. Never came across a charecter like Sai,and even Virat, not a typical ITV hero.

So enjoying the show as of now and fingers crossed for the future tracks.

See this is not a typical love hate drama .. where there is hatred and anger .. between the leads .. yes it happened a little bit during initial GC days ..

This is a slow burner ..,where the leads may have attraction or attachment but they haven’t reach the page yet

Infact Neil has said virat is not in love with sayi yet

There is no hate between the miya biwi .. they both enjoy each other’s company .. and if they now start showing attraction it will bring the uncomfortable zone .. and then very soon consummation

if it was a fixed series we would have seen it .. but the makers definetely want this show to be running for 3-4 years looking at its high Trp .. why will they show attraction and consummation and then show babies and then leads turning parents n grandparents..

The catch push , hug of the shows people are raving about gets 1/2 the trp of this show .. so the CVS are doing something right which is making them sit pretty

If I compare all top3 shows have something to look forward ...they are more enticing than the other shows

I have noticed one pattern in all the shows I have watched so far. The level of romance and passion between leads are decided based on the factors like the storyline, channel in which it's aired, most important the time slot ( primetime shows are watched by full family so you hardly see passionate leads ), PH, and lastly the actors ( mostly the famous tv actors, newcomers are not given much choice ). Usually, we get to know at the beginning of the show what level of romance will be shown. Unfortunately, this show is mostly about family drama. I don't think they were planning to make Sairat an iconic Jodi.

but now that sairat is one of the most loved jodis why can’t they explore their beautiful chemistry more? i am dying to see them atleast hug, kiss to door ki bath hai. i will die of frustration before that happens.

Blame on the lazy writing. They are getting this with little effort. They are copying lines, dialogues and getting high trps. They don't care much about the online audiences. I heard PH's other show had the same problem. Someone who watched choti sardani can confirm.

yep I agree!! I used to watch the show because I found it very interesting but it lost its charm very quickly and now has turned into a snooze fest...

But the show has fallen baldly on the charts..

the problem is that PH go to any extent to get TRPs and sometimes they forget what audience want to watch so they drag on some drama for weeks to entertain audience but when the audience doesn’t get answers within a few days we start losing interest.

Similarly shows that last for many years start losing their charm because it’s the same story repeated again again...

I would rather watch a 150 episode show with a fabulous and engaging story then watch a 1500 episode show with the same old same old unrealistic scenarios...
