When the show isn't dragging like hell😆.....this very layering is what makes it so interesting to watch.....cuz all these layers very much exist but the day to day drag and lack of movement makes it listless sometimes.

I hesitate to use the "L" word for Adi just yet😆....but yes, the FRANTIC quality of his worry and emotions for Imlie is a story unto itself......this guy is holding a storm within him when it comes to Imlie.

As you very rightly pointed out, he feels she has turned his life upside down and removed any sense of his control over his own life. Everything he has done since PD has been an act of rebellion against the forces of destiny that have forced him towards Imlie. Yes, he had promised marriage to Malini before the turn of events in PD, but in many ways, his pursuit of wanting to marry Malini after that has been more about wanting to run away from fate than to run towards Malini. Malini is also a shield, just like this constant anger/scolding....all of these have been put in place by Adi to shield him from Imlie. 😆

On one level, it's hilarious to watch as well....this hatta katta aadmi so TERRIFIED of this chit of a girl and what she can do to his heart😆. He's taken it on as a challenge that he will defeat fate since fate DARED to challenge him and his sorted life😆. But it should be a clue enough for him that even MARRYING Malini didn't change his fate.....it still decreed that Imlie remain in his life. Ultimately, he is responsible for dragging Malini into this mess simply cuz he wanted to outrun fate and Imlie.

So it remains hilarious that even after all this mehnat, ultimately he is still fighting a losing battle😆.....even after so much anger/scolding, intimidating of Imlie, her mere presence is enough for him to still be drawn to her, be concerned for her😆.

If we want to call it love, it is a very different form of love.....Gashmeer mentioned in a recent interview that the things that Adi-Imlie have gone through together have created a bond that in many ways is even beyond love. It would be interesting if that thought is capitalized on by the writers whenever they decide to INCH the story forward😆.

Arre Imlie ke saath share ki hui iss little adventure and actually saath main falling sick main bhi maza hai babusahib ke liye 😆 he is hardly rattled by the fact ke beemar ho hi gaya when this has been his first worry evetytime they have been in rain. Be it PD or this day in front of that shop ke pnemonia ho jaayega.. yet uss choti so chori(if I may say so) main bhi enjoyment hai😆 it is like kids experiencing thir first rain and getting all excited

He was literally giving off a "sorry not sorry" vibe everytime Malini rattled on and on about his lack of raincoat and choice to ride the motorcycle in the rain. It was just funny how it seemed she was desperately trying to get him to regret it and how she just can't quite believe that yet again he broke out of their 7 year mould. If she's reacting like this to seeing him AFTER his rain adventure with Imlie was over...imagine if Mrs Chaturvedi had followed Adilie in the rain with that HD camera phone of hers and treated Malini to a front row seat?🤣

Anger is one of the form of showing love.....always.....it's said that we are angry and irritated with person only when we love them....because love gives us the right to scold them and be oneself around them.....

Such is a case of adi imlie.....adi is fighting like hell to hide his emotions but somewhere this choti bomb has created blast in his life....right from the time she scolded him for calling her a thief.....every single time he insulted her,imlie has never spoken back to him harshly......she has given back to him in feelings words which has hurted him more.......every time he sees her crying,his eyes gets misty n he tells her to stop crying....

I was watching old episodes yday....when adi told imlie that whenever he sees her he is reminded of his helplessness,that is why he is angry with her always...poor chap.....she saved his life once by saying she will marry him or else the villagers would have killed him.....second time she saved him from bomb blast.....yet he never said thanku to her....imlie rightly said in PD that she never blamed him for the forced marriage and he never thought that she was innocent....

Also there was a contrast in the hospital scene where he took Malini and how he took imlie....Malini had a shock attack and he directly took her to hospital....after she regained consciousness,he said whatever happened in the restaurant was a joke and imlie was pain to him..he saw imlie through the glass and knew she has heard everything but still she supported him emotionally even though she was hurting....adi knew this fact.....and coming to fact when he took imli to hospital...even imlie had shock attack....lot happened in ambulance and whatever he said to her, she was unconscious the whole time.... still when she came back to her senses, he accepted that he was saying the truth.....

The contrast is while with Malini he has to lie everytime and be with mask and with imlie he says the truth no matter how bitter it is.....he is himself with her without mask.....

Had he thought the marriage as sham,he would have divorced imlie as soon as he came to Delhi with her first time before marrying Malini.....but he didn't think nor do that at all.....so somewhere even if the marriage is forced,the feelings is there as strong even in crisis and its Hidden.....when adi will realise this affection and anger as love is to be seen....this girl will make him crazy.....

When he's with Imlie, he's real. He's himself. He has lied to Malini so many times now that it has become impossible for even him to keep track.

But with Imlie, he's a completely different person. He has never lied to her till date. She's the only one he gets angry at too...and why does he get angry at her? Because he knows she has the power to get into his mind and heart and turn his whole world upside down.

As far as the hospital track is concerned...I never thought about it like that, but you're absolutely right.

When Malini fainted and he took her to the hospital...he lied to her afterwards...because he knows that in a sense, neither she nor their relationship is strong enough to handle the truth.

But think back to the conversation between Adi and Imlie when Imlie was in the hospital after being shot. She was in such a weak state, but even then he never lied to her. He was fully honest with her and told her that he could never give her the place of a wife in his life. Aditya and Imlie's relationship is completely based in truth. That's why it's so strong and unbreakable. They share a truth...a secret...that they can't reveal to anyone else.

But with Malini? It's just a series of forced encounters, really. In many ways, Aditya only married Malini because he didn't want to hurt her. He saw what telling her the truth about Imlie did.... But had he truly loved her, would he have waited 7 years to commit to her? Even on the day of their engagement work came before Malini. And now on the other hand, look at how wild he became when he realized Imlie was shot and hurt...he literally couldn't give a shit about anything or anyone else...didn't even realize that she was still wearing her mangalsutra and sindoor...it was Imlie...in her delirious state who had to remind him that he had to wipe it off because his family couldn't see her that way.

With Malini, his relationship is calculated. On paper, it's a perfect relationship, but in reality, it's forced.

The irony is that with Imlie, the forced marriage is bringing him the freedom to be himself...to really love.

+1 to all of it.. had it been true love and understanding he would've found a way to let malini know the truth despite her issues i am pretty sure when you are in this long relationship you figure out how to tackle difficult situations and deal with your partner and how can they take your word seriously.. adi tried i give him that but there were signs all around that there are other things more important for him and they won't sustain like him running to work from engagement etc kaun karta hai yeh esp engagement wala.. malini has conveniently erased the whole episode of him actually confronting him if she would've known him she would've figured out too ke sirf mazaak nahi tha but it's liek it never ever crosses her mind too again seeing all these glaring signs what he once told her and showed her the evidence on his camera too why would adi pull itna lamba practical joke on her.. it just showstheir lack of commitment from their souls it's is just a kaagazi rishta as you said Calculated
