I actually do not know the story 😆😆😆. I just know it offended Bangladeshis and they came in huge numbers to ruin the rating. It made news and I think at that time became the lowest rated movie on imdb if I am not wrong?

IMDb is filled with bias ranking
The film offended Bangladeshis by calling them 'Hindustani' and also showing Bangladesh war of independence as Indo-Pak war. While its true it was Indo-Pak war but in Bangladesh the war is termed as 'Bangladesh-Pakistan' war where India helped a lot. Since it hurts liberation sentiment Bangladeshis gave lowest rating to the film.
