Isn't marriage about adjusting and loving the other half with their flaws.

I guess its going to an other level. Today, Sai admitted herself that when they talk they only argue so its better not to talk. I was just giving an example of them as a couple. Sometimes even men are like that but here thats not the case. Also, one major point says that if the inlaws are expecting her to do some work of house, she should do bcoz even she is living in that house and eating. When all others are working its normal that the jealousy will rise if one is not doing any work. Viraat already told him that she can work how much she can, not more than that

Here I would like to add that here virat is also wrong he is not seeing both sides of coin He should point out that this is wrong

Here sai should point out this that calling her like this wrong but she is also lowering her standard to their level only.

Of course, Virat was not wrong in his outburst today. Mostly everyone agreed that the outburst was needed, they were lost people trying to hurt each other and they did.

Thing is they have absolutely no standard, so no matter how much she falls, she'll never reach their level.

I know marriage is all about adjustments, but hell this type of adjustment - no thank you.

Adjustments should be done to a healthy level not at the detriment of one's self-respect.

Ofcourse they are wrong with those words. No one should tag anyone. And Viraat has already opposed when he heard her family saying this. The point is that she should stabalize herself when she already has a caring and supportive husband. The more she will fight, the more they will get a chance to accuse her and calling her names.

They feel that if they will adjust they will become a doormat. Everyone should keep their self respect but at the same time, life is about adjustment and it goes for both men and women.

ashwini did adjustments, just like virat is telling sai to do.

where she stands now? do they even respect her? NO..

if sai 'adjusts' to all that kaku and gang says just because its her 'sasural' then she will ashwini 2.0.

and how many years will women have to 'adjust' and forget their own identity and their real self?

if sai keeps on listening to their taunts and the names they give her without talking back and trying to 'adjust' this chulbuli si sai will be lost..and people like kaku and gang will continue to think that this is only the right way to treat ghar ki bahu.

i don't support shouting at elders her tone is not right, but everything she does is right.

in fact if she 'adjusts' just because she is married, it will be a wrong message to society.

if she really adjust it should be her choice..not out of majboori or some stereotype.

She will not become Ashwini 2 bcoz Viraat is not like his father. He doesnt insult people like his father. When ashwini wanted to study, his husband didnt support her. But Sai was able to study bcoz of Viraat. So no way he is like his father.

Sorry but the reason we disagree is because of how vile the family itself are. Agreed there are times sai goes OTT in her anger and her responses, but majority of the times, more specifically with the family her not behaving like a doormat and screaming and getting angry at them is justified and I can't blame her, because that family insult her and in the most awful ways even when she is not saying anything to them, and they start talking crap about her for nothing almost all the time so her responses are almost always in response to them starting taunting and insulting her.

I only see virat's wrong in the fact that he screams at sai if she talks back to them, but when they start it all by insulting her first, which is why sai lashes out, he does not scream at them. In terms of his family virat has the justification that he can't raise his voice at the family elders even if they are the ones who start the argument with sai by insulting her, yet when it is pakhi who is the one who starts the taunting and insulting of sai, even with pakhi he does not raise his voice with her the way he has been raising his voice at sai, and this would make any person feel terrible and angry, because if virat cannot raise his voice at pakhi when she is the one who starts off bad mouthing sai, then he can't justify raising his voice at sai for defending herself by talking back to pakhi.

Here i would like to put up the point that he doesnt consider Pakhi as his own, she is not his wife so he doesnt care. But for Sai, he geniunely wants her to get respect in his family. But she is not getting the point in whichever way he tries to explain. Also here the matter is one and many. And that 'many' is his family. He cannot everytime support Sai and so she needs to calm down. Bcoz its difficult for him to choose between his family and Sai and this is what is making him angry.

Imagine you've just taken a rock and purposefully dropped it on someone toes, that person is in obvious pain and starts screaming at the top of their voice. Instead of understanding that pain, you then tell the person to stop being silly, you don't have to scream at the top your voice, it is not lady-like and it was only a pebble.

Physical scars can heal, the tongue has no bones but it is the most violent weapon man has known. Verbal abuse is more disgusting than the retorts Sai gives. I do not wish this on anyone for I have seen what it can do to people first hand.
