Vijay Deverakonda holds Rashmika Mandanna’s hand as she steps out for first time since hip injury

Rashmika Mandanna has stepped out in public for the first time since suffering a hip injury, and she had Vijay Deverakonda by her side. The couple attended the engagement ceremony of Sahil Reddy, son of politician-producer-advocate Niranjan Reddy, in Hyderabad. Their appearance quickly caught fans’ attention, especially after Vijay was seen holding Rashmika’s hand and helping her walk through the venue.

Rashmika Steps Out With Vijay By Her Side

For the occasion, Rashmika and Vijay twinned in dark-toned outfits. Rashmika looked elegant in a black-and-gold anarkali with a matching dupatta, while Vijay wore a traditional bandhgala. As they entered the venue, Vijay stayed close to Rashmika and held her hand while she walked. At one point, the actor was also seen laughing at something he said, giving fans another sweet glimpse of the couple.

The pictures and videos from the event soon made their way online, with fans expressing happiness at seeing Rashmika back in public. Some also noticed that she appeared to be walking carefully, suggesting that she may still be recovering.

Fans Notice Rashmika Is Still Recovering

Rashmika had revealed earlier this month that she was dealing with her third injury in quick succession. In an Instagram post, she said the injury had happened some time ago and that her right hip tendon had detached while she was shooting a song for her upcoming film Mysaa.

Calling the film one of the most physically demanding projects she had worked on, Rashmika said she was using the recovery period as a forced break. She also admitted that she needed to stop treating her body like a machine and give it proper rest.

Fans were relieved to see her looking well at the engagement, while several pointed out that she seemed to be limping slightly and might need more time before she is fully fit.

Rashmika's Upcoming Films

Despite the setback, Rashmika has several projects ahead. She was most recently seen in Cocktail 2, alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. She also has Ranabaali in her upcoming lineup, while Mysaa remains one of her major projects.

Her latest public appearance has therefore come as a reassuring update for fans, who are now hoping the actor gets enough time to recover completely before returning to her busy shooting schedule.
