I hope she tries to take a book off the top shelf to do something to it and the entire bookcase falls on her. Then she will lose her memory and Sai will become her fav bahurani for saving her.

even Manav of Shaadi mubarak did look pissed with the previous track and his character's arc, so much so that it almost reflected in the show at times.

If you want to comment on the family's regressivenes, remind us that just because someone is well educated and rich, doesn't mean they can be narrow minded, classist and misogynistic, do it, i am all yours, but do it right.

Like in Mirzapur, even the slightest scene of Kaleen bhaiya rushing to his new born baby, not caring for his wife until she reminds him that she too exists and has suffered much more than the new born kid, its a small scene, a blink and miss, if you may, but the screenplay is brilliant because it hits you in the guts.

Unlike here, you watch a scene, feel pity for Sai and want her to walk away, not stay and fight, and that is not what Sai is, Sai fights. Bhavani is regressive, I get it, but her repressiveness feels straight out of an 80s movie. I am not saying that women dont suffer and arent tortured like Sai is, they are, but this, this cant be right if you cant give us a corrective message with the scene.

Not every scene needs a monologue about why aurat is mahaan, but Shivani asking the cleaners to clean the sofa off its patriarchal thoughts, it was a good one, that should be it, take baby steps, not fetus steps!

Writers are also doing this as a job to earn their bread. They are given directions from channel and PH and they write accordingly, yet face the most flak. Agar kuch karna hai toh we have to push the PH & channel to rethink the literal copy-paste. But also Chahat had mentioned on the WU thread, the other versions seems to have more emphasis on SaiRat in the other versions, then why are they ignoring that aspect here? Baffles me!

It's all in the subtleties. Nobody is expecting huge monologues with characters reflecting on how their actors, like you said, its in those miss and blink scenes, in the scenes that strikes you like 'oh this show is atleast trying to offer a social critique on the situation'

But it is too much to expect!😵
