My point precisely. I never understand how someone can love someone else so much (or claim to love them) and then give them such deep wounds and spew such venom at them. I’ve heard the trope that the person who loves the most also ends up hurting the most, but that is a byproduct of the deep love two people share. You expect differently from that person and that person’s opinion matters the most. So you get hurt by that person more than if someone else had done or said the same thing. But the person who loves you the most wouldn’t go out of their way to say and do things that Raman said for Ishita before the seven year leap.

Ishita’s decision to attempt suicide then just showed an unhealthy extent of love/obsession for Ruhi. Which we didn’t see in the original 11 pm Ishita. Isn’t that why she tried to kill herself? To get closer to Ruhi who was presumed dead? Raman had an unhealthy obsession for Adi at one point where he didn’t take into consideration Ruhi or Ishita. And Ishita had such an obsession for Ruhi at one point where she didn’t take into consideration Adi or Pihu.

Raman's bitterness and aloofness was a defence mechanism. He wanted to protect himself from any hurt and pain but Ishita permeated into his soul in such a manner that all the angst within him dissolved away. She is truly his soul mate.

If Yeh Hai Mohabbatein had ended at Raman's insecurity track, that would also suffice for me. That track really explored the deep, undying love IshRa have for each other. Love which is independent of Ruhi's presence in their life.

I really wish IshRa had gone on their honeymoon, post that track, loving and cherishing each other. That would have been such a delight.

Their little moments, confessing their love for each other were so gush worthy.

Goodness, there's so much that the writers could have explored but they gave preference to other unnecessary tracks and side characters. The less said the better, tbh.

Nonetheless, I'm proud of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and the journey it's had. Best thing, it ended with a beautiful social message.

I do often wonder what IshRa are up to, now that they are free from family duties.

Despite the fact that Yeh Hai Mohabbatein could have explored IshRa's relationship in a much better manner, you are right in saying that their story has ended. That too, with dignity. There is nothing that can be added to it. But, I'd love to see DivAn in an urban fiction.

The way I see both Divyanka and Karan, they do not suit the narratives which Indian television sells. They don't fit into regular run off the mill television content.

Original series are better suited for the skill sets they posses. I cannot see Karan working in a daily soap.

I have no idea if you watched Kasauti but Karan was such a misfit in that cast. He belongs to a different league of actors. He is superlative.

Divyanka is also proficient in performing emotionally intense scenes.

I want them in a story that is urban, modern and sophisticated. Something that is meaningful tinged with subtlety.

YHM was always about IshRa, right from episode 1. It will always be remembered for IshRa. By the way, isn't it funny that Shagun Raman's Jodi name is ShaRam? More like besharam 😆

There's a feeling so incredibly endearing about this scene. Especially this moment, Raman really did come into his own in Ishita's company.
