The late night text
It was few days left to the exam geet had been burning the mid night oil diligently, her mobile beeped signalling the incoming text which said Apologies accepted from unknown number. "I didn't asked for your forgiveness" she replied haughtily. Then it intsantly struck her. What if it could be shenanigans trying to hit for innocent girls. She picked up her mobile to block that forgiving stranger. But another message popped up. " hey! You didn't ask who am I" She realised yes she didn't. Her heart and mind in duel. One said don't you stupid girl and other what he is someone i know and hurts him or her unintentionally. "Who?" She asked. No reply came. She tossed and turned entire night thinking about the strange stranger. Why didn't he reply?. Why?
In morning she woke up with a headache. She checked for the messages. There was one. A smile broke on her face. She opened it restively. " today its aloo ka paratha...and you are officially invited to have it not to rob it...as you have done all these days...so ma'am the guy whose tiffin you have been eating for a week now without eating a humble pie so I thought to forgive you and please do come...if you accept my buddy resquest"
She hurried toward the bathroom thinking what to wear today. As it was her first meeting with the person whose tiffin she had been hijacking from college parking consecutively for days.
Red crept her face as she looked at the mirror...duffer you aren't going to a date she wiped her face with her discarded duppatta How did he got my number .?Myriad thoughts kept popping in her mind.
But the joy mixed with little but guilt...first day he must have forgotten his lunch box but what about the other day...she stepped out...
To be continued...
