Short 3

They sat on the embankment around the old Neem tree near the football stadium. The area remains secluded in the early hours of college.

"Tum bas churaya hua khana hi khati ho..hmm geet ?"

She twisted her scarf which had gained its usual position, hanging around her neck. She realised that Maan does not only know her contact number but could recognise her beneath scarf

"Aap aise hi ghureinge toh kya khaak khaungi…"

She held her gaze down. It was beyond her comprehension why she is feeling shy. She is not that touch me not type. She could only talk with eye contact. Maybe I'm guilty of stealing his lunch...yes not just guilty...Guilty to the power 'n'

He tore his gaze off a beautiful soft face. Embarrassed. He had been staring at her. How long?

"Woh...kha lo ab nahi ghoorunga"

He looked down, not trusting his eyes.

Geet knew she won't be able to enjoy these delicious paratha under vigil of Maan.

"Main tiffin le jau "

He looked up instantly.

"Pakka vapas kar dungi" she pinched her neck slightly putting a lot of weight on her 'pakka'.

The neem tree under which they sat, had been continuously shedding it leaves. Its Unipinnate leaves were no longer green. The yellow hue of leaves and yellow sunlight sieving through them made her look like an angel. Few leaves stuck between her soft curls.

Obviously of all the beauty ( of her's, nature and love) she could only think of the taste of parathas.

A smile formed on his bow shaped lips. He retrieved his mobile and clicked her. Captured the beautiful moment and Geet.

" Bilkul le ja sakti ho"

I can imagine Maan's expression when he would say it
