She was admin of the drug chat. It is prob why she is more panicked than others. A lawyer explained in India if you are an admin of any group where illegal activity is going on than you are automatically more liable than others. The chat included drugs procuring and not just consumption. Also it had many illegal drugs being procured not just cannabis. She is more than likely going to spend some jail time or be removed from endorsements. Unless her 12 lawyers find a way to save her. Others will likely be let go after the investigation is over.

suna hai investigating team wanted to summon Deepu again. kyunki uski rone ka andaaz bahut achha laga, aur ek baar dekhne ki mann kar raha hai.
Media script likhne mein busy hain. ‘iss baar Deepu rone wali nahi, apni charming smile(battisi dikhakar) se patane wali hai sabko.’

Whether Deepika was an admin of the group exclusively meant for drug deal is not confirmed by any of the authorities. Now a days it is not even discussed in Republic channel . If it has any truth or relevance I don't think any of the channels will let go of a chance to discuss the repercussion for days .

However the kingpin as per the channels is jayanti Saha , NBC didn't get any proof enough to arrest her .

If she was the admin it doesn't mean anything. Tv channels are writing their own scripts and these people are falling for it. also she is rich she can recruit 100 lawyers for her defense. Nowadays people can't even defend themselves .

If she was an admin of chat groups which is created to supply drugs is a serious crime . Whether she engaged in selling it or not is not relevant if she was an admin. But the chat group is not created for drugs discussion I guess , I don't know whether she is even an admin because none of the statements from NBC mentioned that DP was an admin of chat groups which is meant for drug transaction.

Taking action on the chat happened on 2017 is not an easy task though . They have to find whether the chats were casual , whether the procurement happened, they have to arrest someone in the group with drugs .

Moreover there is a recent court judgement which disapproved the arrest of group admin as it states that group admin is not liable for the actions of group members , it was in the context of arrest related to circulating fake news.
