Ranveer was nobody during RL. It's Deepika who revived their careers.

Best director actor comb in last 40 years has been Sunny Deol- Raj Kumar Santosh and amir khan hirani combo

all socially relevant and hit movies

all others have given hits but its not socially relevant movies -- so no one will watch or remember them after say 50 years

everyone remembers guru dutt pyasa or raj kapoors movies bec they are socially relevant till today

No one watches much of 50-60s or 70s movies on TV except for their songs

Everyone shall remember socially relevant movies than rom coms after say 50-100 years

Like rajesh khanna has done many rom coms but ppl remember his socially relevant movies more

No i do not think deepika revived SLB and ranveer career

Ranveer was good in lootera too apart from SLB movies

It was SLB and Ranveer who made deepika super hit actually and no.1 star

Because deepika is not a great actress but Ranveer is good actor and SLB good enough director in historical

So even if Ranveer not got bajiroa, padmavaat he would have lasted

SLB would also have lasted

But deepika would never have become the great actress she is said to be if not for SLBs direction and Ranveers acting in bajirao mastani and padmavaat

Deepika could have been replaced by other heroines in that role but ranveer cannot be and neither can SLB direction replaced by other directors for same impact

That must be true because that was my first time watching him onscreen. From the audience point of view, it was a SLB movie with Ranveer being the top performer (and also Supriya Pathak). Deepika did a fairly good job, definitely much better than the other two outings with the same combo!
