It's A Wake Up Call, TRP Not Increasing

Post lockdown Kumkum Bhagya ratings stuck around 1.8TRP/2.0TRP, ZeeTV aired promos every week but it didn't helped TRP to increase whereas Kundali crossed 2.8TRP already. It's high time Kumkum Bhagya needs to revive in its all department. Creative team are not working well and not willing to improve, guess they think show will work somehow but no, everyone wants drama, entertainment not unnecessarily filler episodes.

Kundali Bhagya is another drag-fest but still they are getting TRPs and increasing every week that because they don't lack anywhere. Every episode of KDB are well executed and entertaining to watch, are well balance in all department, KDB literally have dramas in its filler episodes itself which gives them TRP.

Well coming back to Kumkum Bhagya, there has been no major drama for long and the drama that is current running have no impact to attract viewers, more like makers spoiling it by giving it funnier look and those comedy background scores makes it more worse all the time. Also too much Abhigya's absence adds up dullness.

Dusri Pedhi was doing great in the initial 8-9 months, got high TRPs even beat Kundali few times that because episodes were well-balanced and had high-dose of entertainment. But last few months starting from 2020, KKB seemed to gone down only. Post lockdown, there is no improvement at all to attract viewers.

So here is the things that is not working for the show and needs immediate attention

1) Funnier approach for every tracks need to stop right away along with annoying funnier background score that keeps running all the time even during major scenes. Gives it funnier look, less impact.

2) Take Ranbir-Prachi relationship forward. It's high-time PraBir needs to be more compassionate. Also, their filler scene needs to stop frankly it's annoying and boring.

3) Mugdha (Prachi) is parallel lead but looks extremely bad in her new attires and acting like teenager making it more worse. She needs makeover immediately, in the beginning of Dusri Pedhi, she looked fine but in recent episodes especially post lockdown she looks extremely bad as a lead. So it's also working like a minus point for the show which actually lower your interest to watch the show more.

4) Abhigya's recent scenes were not impactful , Hit & Misses needs to stop and take story forward for real. Also, Abhigya's filler scenes needs to stop although they don't have much like PraBir.

5) Abhigya's lift/hospital scenes were filler only that dragged for week along with Ranbir-Maya's Sangeet drama which got more importance were not interesting at all to watch. Eventually Abhigya's promo couldn't help to increase the week TRP.

6) Kumkum Bhagya had few strong antagonist back, they contributed to the TRP. Shikha and Naina had that vibe but unfortunately they left. New Aliya/Rhea needs to work harder to give that impact on viewers And Sanju gives comedy vibe which doesn't make the show interesting.

7) Show the main lead more, Sriti and Shabbir and their parenthood drama.

8) Show Sarita less, she's kinda annoying and talks too much.

So overall show is lacking many things along with the current story, it's not creating impact enough on viewers. They have or can show the interesting story, they have the cast already still they are not utilizing it properly if these things are not improve then Abhigya too won't able to save Kumkum Bhagya. It's high time reunite Abhigya and bring afterwards drama that will give the TRP for sure.

Well hope next week TRP will increase, this week robbery drama seems decent.

Compared Kumkum Bhagya with Kundali Bhagya because Kundali is Kumkum's spin-off show.

To add on to everything you just said another reason for low trps could also be because zee keeps releasing their episodes way ahead online. Monday's episode and precap are out already,so if I can watch it online while skipping whatever I don't want to watch then why would I watch it on TV?

I was getting irritated by Kumkum because of the negativity but in kundali extreme toxicity is being shown.

So to increase TRPs if kumkum also show that level of negativity then what is the use.

Most people watch Kumkum 2nd generation because the Male lead is not toxic and egoistic.

The story is different because Male has already confessed and patiently waiting.

I don't want the Male to turn toxic and egoistic.

But maybe the story needs to move forward.

They are literally copying the other show.

Exactly story needs to move forward without adding much filler episodes thats what I meant and it need to be well balance of drama quotient and filler

of course Ranbir is far better than Karan.

Kdb has better ratings because they are finally back to the main plotline and it's moving somewhere. Which is why I really hope they make abhigya meet and reveal their daughters because there's so much drama than can be created there anyway so why still bother with unnecessary filler tracks.

When they entered in March 2019, they were riding on coat tails of abhigya/tisha. Post lockdown was the time to prove that they had the staying power. But i guess no one wants to watch this bland generation, it's clear from these trps. It's been a month and the ratings are stuck at an all time low.

The non creative writers made a joke out of Abhigya with hits and misses that no one even bothers now. Even if there's a abhigya meeting scene in all this mess, it's of no use.

KDB is having high drama. There is this anticipation of Male lead marrying /not marrying another girl and what will the Female lead do. What's happening in KKB in comparison?

Here is a soon to be Wedding of a dusri peedi guy who's a kid himself. Maya is annoying and nobody wants her and yet half the epis are filled with backstory and shit, who the hell cares about her ex and all? Makers are confused if they want to make a psycho lover or a scared girl who still wants her ex bf or a golddigger. Then Abhigya story is not moving at all, they didn't even meet after the elevator scene. Aliya knows now that Prachi is the other twin, and now there will be more police drama as she has no other work other than to be after Pragya and her kid. There is nothing going on just fillers. There is a need of high drama, at least let Abhi knows about his other kid, there will be this anticipation that when Prachi will get to know about her dad and her reaction. Let Pragya save her kids and show down between her and Aliya. End Maya. At least make Rhea useful by going after Maya and end her track and give some other twist rather than fake case and jail time

Also I keep mentioning PR which had similar dusri peedi storyline like now KKB is having and makers need to watch their old show and understand you don't need anyone outsiders when you have all these characters for drama. The aftermath of reveal that Abhigya are married will have so many effect. The twins story. There is bet. How Pragya will come back to her house. The father daughter relationship. Who needs these maya and more bakwas. Makers are erasing their old characters and bringing characters whom none cares about. Disha purab and sunny story has so much potential rather than Aliya after Pragya for over decades.
