So much for the ban of tiktok and other Chinese apps. India continues to import heavily from China.

This is so sad. Tiktok was extremely popular among Indian teens. They were addicted to it. It got them fame in their ordinary life and suddenly it was banned. These kids are getting withdrawal symptoms. In addition to that, there is a lockdown and they are not allowed to meet friends or socialize. Majority of teenagers are not comfortable talking with their parents.

it is very sad but lockdown and not being able to socialize has become trigger of mental issues lately.

This suicide occured before TikTok banned. And it had nothing to do with Tiktok ban.

And Tiktokers have migrated to different platforms like Insta(Reels), Facebook and other thousands of similar apps

Media and janta must stop angelification of the person who committed suicide or else it would turn into mass hysteria.

This is so sad.

RIP

These suicides put a huge question mark on us as a society.

Hearing about celebrities committing suicide almost once week now. Think what are the numbers out of the spotlights.

And it's not only bcoz of the Quarantine, we have heard students suicides, farmer suicides, youngsters in love committing suicide. It's happening for years but no one speaks about it.

Zero importance is given in the counrty to this issue. We think that committing suicide is an individual's problem. But what about the pressure we put on those individuals to be successful? We can that in auditions for reality shows where 10 year old kid will come and say "Main apne ma ka sapna pura karna chahata hu". I am here to be successful to help my parents, to live their dream, to make them happy.

As if just being their child isn't making them happy enough.

We never embrace failure. We as a society never embrace a person going through tough times. Most of the time the person will be shamed for being "weak" and people will maintain distance instead of standing by his side.

We never encourage people to talk about their feelings, and what they are going through mentally, we turn our backs to any exposure of "weakness", we just ask them to 'man-up".

Large number of depressed people and suicide cases indicate lack of support and solidarity in our society.

The reason why Tiktok should be banned from all the countries forever. Otherwise the kids get easy access into this app through VPN if it's blocked only in a few particular countries. The similar apps should be banned as well.

Why ban though? What purpose is it going to serve?

I don't like tiktok content, I keep myself away from it. Imposing ban on a platform just because we don't like it. Yes I agree content put there needs to be supervised but banning is not a solution. It's because of temporary solutions like ban, we never have been able to achieve larger goal. Kal aap bologi farming chhod do kyunki log suicide kar rahe hai.

Govt ko policies restructure karni hogi. Small small platforms pe awareness laana hoga tab jaake 5-6 saal baad normalcy aayegi. Overnight kuch nahi hoga.

Tiktok had some serious data privacy policy issues which can be used against a country. Therefore they banned it

There's a reason why tiktok got banned in India. The youngstars are misusing this app and they focus on getting more and more followers and take is as a sort of achievement, which causes depression and anxiety at such a young age. Moreover this app serves no good purpose rather than those same contents wrapped in new papers. You can't put Tiktok and farming in the same category.

I usually really apathetic towards suicide. With sushant it felt like a personal loss beacuse he was talented and seemed to be a strong guy in his headspace, that's why his death affected me more. But youngsters like these doesn't really understand the importance their lives hold for others. If you got problems, discuss them, give them time, lay easy for a while try whatever you can, just don't take such drastic decision. You wouldn't even get a chance to regret it later.

I strongly believe killing yourself is not kiling the problem. You just want your sufferings to end. No one deserves to suffer, no one want it, no one need it. But they exist, they will continue to exist. You have to overcome them, when you end your life it passes your pain to others who probably could never overcome it all their life. I support it as a crime, It's insensitive to sufferings but as a society and how normal suicides will get if we begin to accept suicides. High time we introduce Mental health in daily discussions and in school college curriculum. It deserves to be discussed at prestigious podiums and in daily regalar talks. Mental health deserves attention than anything else at this point.

Permanent solution to temporary problem. These new gen are so mollycoddled they really cannot handle any stress and are not emotionally equipped to deal with life.

It wasn't banned for being for all that though, so I don't get your point of argument.
