COVID19 quarantine also has exacerbated many mental issues. The father of Elizabeth Hurley's only son -Steve Bing-was 55 and worth over 500 million dollars and he committed suicide by jumping off the 27th floor. Luckily he didn't fall on any pedestrian.

Steve Cobain of the band Nirvana-successful, young, money with wife and daughter committed suicide too. Sometimes we don't understand these things-people are good looking, rich, have family and still do it.

In this case no one knows-well except Kangana it seems.

He was at the gym, how could he be depressed.

He was seen with people, how could he be depressed

How could his gf leave him if he was in depression

How come his family didn't pick up on it if he was suicidal.

Suicide is real. And most people that commit suicide sometimes give out no clues. In my hospital, 2 surgeons committed suicide.

SUCCESSFUL surgeons. Not in residency, attending physicians with high pay. And the second one that committed suicide was so jolly a person and always in such high spirits at work that we were all shocked. We had to have support sessions for all the people that worked with him as a means of grief counseling.

And here, people are running towards ANY alternative BUT suicide and mental health. Like it's something disgusting, or weakness, or BELOW SSR.

This is literally the exact reason that I have been more vocal about this topic in this forum. I personally went through a major depressive episode and was having suicidal thoughts a few years back. There was no outward reason or cause, and partially due to growing up South Asian I had a hard time asking for help because I couldn’t justify to myself why I would be depressed. In fact, it wasn’t until recently, when I thankfully have a much better handle on my own mental health, that I was told my dad’s uncle committed suicide due to depression. He was the same age as I was when I had my MDE, and instead of sharing that important medical information, they just pretend he didn’t exist. Plus my grandpa and grandma are first cousins, so my genetic risk could actually be really high. That stigma that I grew up with, that kept me from knowing I could be predisposed to depression or anxiety could have actually contributed to my death. Like this stigmatizing and misinformation needs to be stopped ASAP.

there you have it..........his own family taking a step now.......

Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14 2020 and his post mortem reports suggest asphyxia due to hanging as the reason for death. However, reports of professional rivalry have also come to the surface in connection to his suicide case.

His untimely death has raised many questions and his fans along with celebrities like Shekhar Suman, Kangana Ranaut, Rhea Chakraborty have requested a CBI investigation in the case. Apart from that, one thing that has been constant in this whole ordeal is about Rajput dealing with depression before his death. So now, reports have emerged that Sushant Singh Rajput's family who resides in Bihar have approached Patna Police as they are unhappy with the progress in the investigation.

As reported by Republic World, Sushant's family members have approached Patna Police in connection to his death. A source has informed the portal that his family is not very happy with the narrative that is being set around his death. They are not happy with reports saying that he was suffering from depression and have not ruled out the conspiracy angle. They are also not happy with the course of the investigation, says the report.

As per the same report, the source has claimed that his family had no knowledge of him suffering from depression or any other psychological problem. It is unclear if the family had lodged a complaint or if the police have registered an FIR yet.

Keep reading this space for further updates.

I am so sorry for you.

I was mentally harassed by ex-collegues from my first job. It pushed me to severe depression and suicidal thoughts. I used to have very less confidence. It took me more than 3 years to be mentally fit and active. I used to spent my day eating, sleeping, working out and playing with makeup in free time during my depression stage.

Now I condemn anyone who takes mental health as joke. Eating disorders, OCD, emotional outburst and low self confidence kills any person daily. Life is worse than death with any disorder. You do not understand the reality without getting emotionally tangled in anything.

Depression has changed me completely. People who met me 5 years back do not recognize my new personality. I value my emotional boundaries and limit any person who does not respects me.

So glad to know you made it out okay. It is not easy. Someone close to me went through a similar phase and yes, from what I understood certain people can be genetically predisposed to depression. Obviously, environment matters too. But a tendency of even mild depression or anxiety means we always have to be mindful of our thoughts and be very conscious of our inner dialogue.

The stigma is real, unfortunately. Kudos to you for handling it so well and thank you for sharing!

Thanks, Not negating you but waiting for another mainstream news source or SSR's family to confirm this on the record. Till now only Republic has mentioned this but they are really selling this narrative for a month now so I would prefer to see an official statement or confirmation from SSR's family. This is very vague with "sources"

But I will accept it of course if that's what they go on record to say.

Thank you for posting..

People are extremely ignorant about mental health.. ! They care more about people’s opinion ( log kya kahenge) than addressing mental health issues.. I know a couple who suffered for 15 yrs.. just because family and the girl herself was not ready to address the issue.. the boy almost got depressed and wanted to divorced the girl.. but didn’t took the decision because of kids.

The girl always use to talk suicidal.. scary

All depressed people do not commit suicide, that’s true. However, based on statistical models, researchers are predicting a mass increase in suicide rates, drug overdoses, etc. and they’re already seeing increase in depression and anxiety rates. Considering that Sushant was already depressed, had an argument that resulted in his SO leaving home, and one of his closest friends said he abruptly stopped taking antidepressants (an action that has a known risk of increasing suicidal thoughts), it’s not really that surprising that he committed suicide.

As far as the whole thing regarding making conclusions on the spot, those came from the news media. And if I remember correctly, when Srideviji died there were people criticizing the news media for staging scenes with bathtubs. So all they do is sensationalize things, and that is no way a reflection of what the legal authorities were doing.

I dont want to argue on that. Lets agree to disagree.

I am not discarding his suicide. I never did.. I am not concluding it. I am not going to un-see what is obvious to my understanding irrespective of what media is showing. Even if the case gets closed with suicide as final remark, which i am sure it is going to be , the questions will still remain. Atleast for myself.

If I know I someone is having mental illness , I will not discard any other possibilities that can lead to his death.

Yes mental health is important. I should be the first one in the campaign as it's my bread and butter but here a death is involved. As much as it has a very strong possibility to be true , there's also a chance for it to not be true. If I had not seen the body , I would have never questioned it. That's all I am trying to tell.

I was the one who spoke about his gym spottings , restaurant spottings . No i dont think mental illness is disgusting . I have never run away from the fact that he had depression. But i will reiterate i do not think had he been this ill and suicidal his family and his bff would have left him alone. It's impossible. I cannot say about Rhea and that Pithani guy but his family and his bff truly loved him. If there were signs and if the docs would have told them also , I refuse to believe they would have left him alone.
